Update! | Engine Swap | Art Progress | Release Plans

Hey everyone!

Before the month ends, I wanted to do another update & drop a patreon exclusive teaser.  That will be posted immediately after this update!


== Engine Swap ==

In case you aren't aware, I'm switching the engine over from Visual Novel Maker to RPGMaker.  I explain why I'm doing so in previous updates but overall the swap is going great!  Right now, I'm tinkering with a lot of the small details like font, text boxes, clickable objects, etc.  The picture above is actually in RPGMaker!  

With this engine swap, I'll be able to play around with so many more features.  I'm looking at adding a couple of mini games in later updates and maybe even experimenting with the RPG battle system (to simulate the game he is playing).  These are just various ideas I've been toying around with.

Overall, this scene player is drastically better than in VNM.  The framerate is stable & I can include sound effects.  In addition, this engine will allow for an eventual Android port as well!

Currently though, I'm basically re-creating the entire demo that I had before which is why this part has been sluggish.  I appreciate your patience with me while I move everything over! <3


== Release Date ==

Was really hoping to squeeze out an update release today but the engine swap is taking longer than planned.  The only DEFINITIVE date I can give is that I'll release a build in February!  I think what I'm going to do is limit access to the build to only $1+ HC Patrons for 3 days as a test and a reward for your patience.

AFTER THE FIRST BUILD: I plan to open a $5 tier that will function like the $5 tier in ToP & ZR where $5+ patrons will get exclusive beta test access for ~3/4 days before the update goes public.  This will affect the new build AFTER this updated one.  I'll make an announcement when that tier is live.


== Art Progress ==

Art has been moving along at a great pace.  This update will include some smaller additions mostly just meant to help the pace of the first day.  The original demo, there was only so much to work with so I had to rush some of the 'progress'.

With the teaser that I'm posting after this update, you'll also see the next major scene that's planned in the next build following the engine swap build.  I want to focus on the maid's story first that way there's a fully fleshed out storyline in case we run into any more development hurdles.

All In My Head (tease)

"Oh my!  You're so big, just like your..."

To those of you who know the base inspiration to House Chores, you might find this teaser a little comical.  HC is indeed based off of a pretty old school meme (before memes were really much of a thing) so I wanted to make sure the first part of the game really pays the full respects in all it's detail haha.

From that point on though, House Chores expands into it's own story which is where the later updates will all start moving towards.

Update: Charge Upfront Enabled & Release Info

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to let everyone know that charge upfront has been enabled on this page.  This means, when you pledge, you will be charged immediately rather at the start of the next payment cycle (1st of the month, usually).  This is done primarily to prevent bogus pledges: people who pledge money to receive the rewards, and then cancel before they're charged.  

Just want to make sure everyone is aware of this change!  If you are already pledged, to my knowledge, you won't be charged until the start of next month so you shouldn't notice any changes.


Release Info

Got some pretty good news on this one!  Been doing a lot of testing with the engine swap (Visual Novel Maker -> RPG Maker) and I'm very happy with the results.  I'm trying to keep a lot of those VN elements present here and so far, I'm stoked at what's possible.  In some ways, I think this is a better VN than what I had on the old engine so folks who were skeptic about that may be happy to hear.  

I'm hoping to have a release in very late January with the new updated engine.  This update will add a small amount of new art but remember, I'm basically re-creating the game from the ground up.  Once this build is finished, we start diving head first into more story progression! 

I can't wait to share this early update with you all.  I really hope you enjoy the transition even though it's still a WIP.  There's much to be done!

A Quick Feel (tease)

One of the things I wanted to change with the Alpha of House Chores was the pacing of the MC and the "maid's" relationship.  In the upcoming build, I want to slow it down a bit by adding some more earlier interactions.

Here's a look at something that will be coming up in the next build!

I'm working on a few cool ideas as well.  I know the decision to switch to RPG Maker was going to be a controversial choice but I'm toying around with some neat ideas that I think the VN fans especially will appreciate.  We'll see as things start getting closer to the release of the first Beta build.

Speaking of- it's a bit too soon to say but I'm going to see if a January release is possible.  However, I'm working on both ToP & ZR for January so that might be a nightmare.  Maaaybe early February instead haha.

If things keep progressing at a smooth pace, I will open pledge charging next month as well so if you pledge, it will begin charging.  I will make an announcement when it's re-enabled.

Big Update - 2019 Retrospect - 2020 Plans

Hey everyone!

Been a minute on this page but behind the scenes has been quite a ride.  Let me fill you in.

I disabled payments on this page for the time being.  Meaning at the start of January, patrons will not be charged.  I did this because, for a while, nothing was happening behind the scenes on House Chores.  I could not, in good faith, accept financial support for HC when it was hanging in limbo.  Payments will resume when the next build is available.


 == Current Status of House Chores == 

I had a private talk with the artist about both of our feelings about the project and where to go in the future.  I don't want to straight up breach privacy so I'll sum up the tl;dr:

Sassquatch - Overwhelmed with the amount of art required for HC while balancing life

Me - Growing dissatisfaction working on Visual Novel engine (laggy, random crashes, a bad time in general)

For a short time, this game was considered cancelled.  However, I have a game plan moving into 2020.  The game's engine/style will switch to RPG Maker.  This way, I can work on the project more efficiently and Sassquatch doesn't have to design backgrounds.

There's still much that needs to be done in order to complete the engine transition, but I've been working on it this past month.

While House Chores isn't cancelled, right now, I'd consider it on life support.  I'm not making any more promises until the next build is actually being worked on and presentable to players.  Especially when it comes to art: if the artist isn't wanting to work on the project, there's only so much I can do.  I want to structure the game in a way that is kind to his own schedule and priorities.

We'll see what happens in January!


== 2019/2020 ==

2019's been quite a wild ride for my main projects and the introduction of this project.  I wanted to challenge myself working on a new engine and experimenting with a new style.  

Unfortunately, not all experiments work out.  During the time making the Alpha build, I grew to hate the engine, plain and simple.  My experience with it was rough.  Creating the Alpha, I lost hours of progress a couple times due to crashes, dealt with a laggy UI, and ultimately didn't feel optimistic about sticking with the engine.

However, my love & vision for HC remains.  I want this project to see a full completion so I'm sticking with it moving into the new year but we have to make some changes.

I want to also take this time to thank everyone who has played and supported House Chores so far.  We've hit some bumps in the road but I appreciate those who continue to stick around, support, and be patient with me as I get the roadmap sorted out.  If everything works out smoothly, I think 2020 will be a promising year for House Chores!  

(I do still intend to finish the project next year as well)

Big Update - Release News, Engine Change?

Hey everyone!

Quite a bit of time has passed from the last major update and I wanted to talk about a few new decisions about the future of House Chores.

tl;dr: Progress will slow & be more behind the scenes for a while until the next major update is ready to release.  Future House Chores updates will stay on the same engine.


== Future Releases ==

After thinking about it for a while, I've decided that future House Chores releases will be on a temporary hiatus.  Meaning, I do not know when the next release will be but it will be a little while.

IMPORTANT: Progress on House Chores will still continue in the background.  I'll explain my reasoning:

Starting House Chores meant juggling 3 game projects at a time.  Originally, this sounded plausible but the amount of time needed to dedicate to both Town of Passion & Zombie's Retreat this fall has increased significantly. 

For the past few months it's been stressful knowing I can't physically put in the time that this game needs to progress smoothly. 

This also helps give Sassquatch more time to draw at a comfortable pace and be more flexible with his own schedule.

For clarity- I have NO PLANS TO CANCEL HOUSE CHORES.  I love the idea of this project and want to see it fully realized.  But for now, I want to be able to work on this project at a healthy pace whenever/wherever more free time presents itself.

I don't think following the same release schedule as ToP & ZR is a very feasible option.


== Next Build ==

When I find the time, I do want to basically re-do the start of House Chores.  The original build was more of a demo.  I want to flesh out the beginning stories with the 'Maid' and implement a more repeatable story with the first scene having an 'ending' this time around.

The release of it... will be whenever I can find the time haha.  But hopefully this lets you all know what I'm planning on doing next!


== Refunds + Pledges ==

While HC development is still continuing, I know many of you may have pledged under the assumption that things would progress at a similar pace as ToP & ZR. 

I believe you can do your own refunds on pledges if you want one but if not, for the next week I will be checking back regularly to acknowledge anyone who would like a refund for their pledges.  I will still honor pledges after that time period of course, but I won't be checking as frequently.  I believe you can send me a message requesting one.

Current/future pledges will still go towards the development of House Chores by funding art/animation.


== Engine Swap? ==

A while ago, I was giving various polls to Twitter and here about considering the idea of moving House Chores to the RPGMaker engine.  Results were interesting.  A lot of people chose RPG but I think they were assuming the games would be map based like Town of Passion.  I played around with this and immediately wasn't very fond as the original vision was lost.

I decided, I will be sticking with Visual Novel Maker for now.  I have some gripes with this engine maker but it accomplishes damn near everything I want to do in HC.  It's also the simpler choice which is the best option rn.  Renpy is much more code heavy which requires more time and debugging would be significantly more difficult.

I'm sorry that this update may not be the best news for people to hear.  I misjudged my own ability to work on all of these projects at once and I have to scale things back a bit.   =/

I'd rather be honest with everyone instead of being quiet and attempting to find more time to work on HC when it doesn't exist atm.

I'll still be posting teasers when appropriate and if things turn around with available time, maybe this post will be pretty irrelevant.

'She's Like a Sister to Me' (new character)

Last, but certainly, not least, we have the final main character of House Chores completed and ready to be introduced!

Her relationship to the MC will be yours for the choosing.  Her views on the MC are sort of like a brother.  (But they're definitely not related!)

She's home from college for the summer and is in the middle of pursuing her passion of cosplay and entertainment.  Who knows... she may even start a gaming channel on a live streaming website!

You'll see this new face in the next build of House Chores which is still in the early stages I'm hoping we might be able to pull off a November release!  There are still a few more art pieces to be completed and I need to figure out which engine the game will play on.  I will make a more public announcement soon but all of the pieces are starting to fall into place!

Character Reveals! (tease)

Hey everyone!

I've got another look at the final batch of main characters for House Chores.

You've already seen and hopefully interacted with the 'maid' in the story and last month I introduced a new character but there are two somewhat new faces here.

First, here's a look at the main character!  You've seen glimpses of him in the original demo build but here's a look at his portrait.  It's completed but I think the game will take place in first person so you likely won't see him too much outside of scenes.

The second is the far right.  This is his... step sister who is COMPLETELY unrelated?  Tutor?  I think I'm going to allow you to decide the role again like ToP/ZR but she definitely has a preferred role ;)  Her bust was actually finished today so her pose is a little different but I think you guys will REALLY like it.  Personally, she's my favorite.  

She's super into cosplay too so... who knows what sort of outfit she might try on in the future.

== Next Build ==

I'll talk about this more in a public post coming up soon but I'm hoping to have a new playable build in November!  Things are back in motion so I'll have more clear and frequent updates coming to you all soon hopefully.

You all have been incredibly understanding and patient and I can't thank you enough for that <3  I want to put my all into this short story so that you all feel that the wait was worth it!

Ants In My Pants (new character)

What do you do when your Maid's sister goes through a rough divorce and is lacking a place to stay for the Summer?  Well, she stays with you of course!!

Here's a look at a new character coming to the House Chores story!  Her design was in limbo for a little bit but now that art is starting to resume, Sassquatch finished it up!

Also, let me know what you think about her highlights.  There's a variant where she doesn't have the blonde highlights and I was a little conflicted.  Maybe I'll do a comparison post later if you all would like to see that!

Also, I will make a post later about the poll results as well!  I got some very important feedback from all of you and I really appreciate that!  I will have a more conclusive answer about whether or not I'll swap engines or not.

The Biggest Poll for House Chores

Hey everyone! 

So this thought has been crossing my mind recently and I wanted to take it up upon current Patrons to help give their input.

Working on House Chores has been a fun and interesting step outside of my comfort zone moving from RPG's to Visual Novel but it isn't a perfectly smooth transition.

I was debating with the idea of moving House Chores over to the RPG Maker engine just like my other two projects.  There are a long list of pro's and con's of switching to RPG but I'll list some of the more notable ones.

Pros:

-Familiar engine, more efficient work & porting to Android.  VN engine has had issues with crashing & lag

-Cost saving not having to worry about commissioning backgrounds & assets. (Clickable bed, doors, etc)

Cons:

-Strays from the original vision of House Chores a little bit

-Might feel a little too similar to ToP & ZR?

The core gameplay wouldn't drastically change.  The game would still be about living in a home with 1 (eventually 3) beautiful women and the scenarios that unfold as a result.

And this is important to note, this is still just an idea.  This change may not go through but I've already received some very interesting feedback on Discord and curious to see how Patreon feels.

Also as a side note- Sassquatch has been slowly getting back into working on comms so we're going to start moving again!

Update

Hey everyone!

Things have been a little quiet on the House Chores side of things. Unfortunately, art has been at a stand still for a little while.

Sassquatch asked me if he could take some time off as some personal matters have been keeping him down.  (He gave me permission to tell you all that)  I want to respect his own personal matters and mental health so I don't want to push him to work if he's not mentally up for it.

Fortunately, the project isn't canceled but I do not know when he will be ready to continue working.

I held off from opening new Patreon tiers because of this and admittedly, I'm still unsure if I want to open them up.  This may be a project that has sort of a 'pay as you like' system in order to support the game.  Maybe that will change in the future and I can deliver consistent updates & rewards to all of you!

I also considered halting Patreon from charging Patrons this month but because the funds are still saving & going towards art/animation, I held off from that too.  HOWEVER, if you wish to cancel your pledges, I completely understand.  Do not worry about that!

Sorry that this isn't the best news you probably wanted to hear about House Chores.  Hopefully things turn around for Sassquatch and he's ready to get back to drawing the beautiful scenes that you all and myself love.  

I will update you all when I have more news to share about the progress of HC!  Thank you for understanding =)

First Post-Release Update!!

Hey everyone!

Gonna have a lot to talk about here so I'll break up the important topics into chunks.

== Beta 0.1 Release ==

I want to start off saying thank you so much for trying the first build of House Chores.  The response has been overwhelmingly positive and I can't thank you enough for that!  I was worried about how the build would play because so much is incomplete and as some ofy ou noticed, the story was a little rushed as a result.  

I want to take some more time in Beta 0.2 to slow down what's already in-game as well as adding more 'gameplay'-like mechanics to help it flow a bit better.


== Glitches ==

There's been two main points to note:

1- When 'going back in time' to allow the player to restart, it seems one of the choices locks up and hard locks the player.  Not sure why it does this yet but fortunately in later builds this won't even exist.

2- Some players are having a white screen when trying to play by the sound of it.  I'm also looking into reasons why this is the case as well and will hopefully have suggestions for fixes soon!


== New Tier! ==

I'm going to be releasing two new tiers over the span of the next build's release.  The first will be a $3+ tier.  If you're familiar with my other projects, this works in the exact same way.  The $3+ tier will offer one or two sneak peaks of NSFW content every month before a build is released!

In addition, I will also release a $5+ tier which will grant you early access (3/4 days) to play the build to help test the build in a smaller setting.  This is a useful time frame to detect any significant glitches, sequence breaks or other oddities that might make the public release a rocky one.  And, of course, you get to play it a little earlier!

As of this post, these tiers are NOT live yet!  I will make an announcement for them when they are.  So if you plan on pledging to either of these tiers, wait so that way you can pledge or edit your existing pledge into the new tier!


== Beta 0.2 ==

It's in the works!  Too soon for a release date, as usual but I will keep you all updated!

I will say, we still need to finish up more busts & backgrounds which tend to take a solid amount of time.  I will try to efficiently plan things to keep new updates running smoothly.  Once most of the BG's and the busts are complete, we'll be able to focus almost entire on those lovely NSFW scenes ;)

House Chores - Beta 0.1 Available Now!

Hey everyone!  The first build of House Chores is finally available after a long summer of work.

In order to download the build, click the link to take you to the House Chores itch page and the download is provided there!

Some important things I wanted to note:

1. This build is incredibly unfinished!! 

You'll probably notice that some of the story events feel a little rushed and that was primarily done intentionally just to keep things short and concise.  Consider this more of a 'demo' than a full blown build.  A lot of the general 'polish' is missing too.  I expect that the first day of House Chores will almost be completely different from this build compared to the final one.

2.  Font not working?

This was something that I'm still trying to figure out but I can't get the intended font to work.  You might notice your copy of the game uses a different font than the screenshots.  I'm going to continue working to fix this.

Hopefully this build helps give you an idea of how the game will work!  Future builds will fortunately be able to accomplish much more on the gameplay side as well.  So much time this summer was spent working on the backgrounds, clickables, and learning the engine.  Now that I'm feeling a bit more comfortable, I think progress should be more apparent with future updates and the game will start coming together much more.

Release Date Planned ~ August 9th!

Hey everyone!

If the title wasn't clear enough, I have a fairly certain date for when the first build of House Chores will launch!

~August 9th!

Usual disclaimer- This ISN'T 100% certain as I am still waiting on the animation to finish up but the animator is confident that it can be finished before then.  Assuming all goes well, I want the first bit of this game to be playable on Aug 9th, just over a week from now! =D

This initial build will be open for public release immediately when it's first shown.  In future builds, it's possible that I'll open up an early beta test tier similar to ToP & ZR but time will tell.


== Extra Details ==

I want to remind people that if you're expecting the same amount of playtime as a ToP/ZR update, House Chores likely won't be for you.  I anticipate the final build will have a pretty short play time as there is still a lot of characters & locations that need to be completed to help flesh out the scenario.

Working on the beginning parts of this project this summer has definitely been a challenge but I've already learned a lot and feel refreshed working on this alongside ToP/ZR. However, I'm so excited to see through this project and I hope you will see the time & care that is going into it too.

To all of the early Patrons who have eagerly anticipated the first release, thank you so much!  To those lurking on new updates; thank you as well!  I hope you all enjoy House Chores coming soon =)

Hands On Relief (teaser)

"I really can't believe I'm doing this... Surely you can find a better way to relieve your stress..?"

Here's a look at the first real scene of the game!  So far, this first build will have this scene fully animated as well as another partial scene (no animation) so there's a nice little chunk of content to fully round out the start of the game!

While this scene is being animated at the moment, I feel pretty confident to say that the first build should release around August 9th.  The animator is confident it can be done by then and I'll have enough time in between ZR/ToP to focus 100% on House Chores!

I apologize for such a lengthy wait.  Starting projects is always the toughest part but the wheels are finally starting to turn and I think we're about to hit the ground running very soon.

Bathroom Fun (concept sketches)

Sassquatch just finished up the final bathroom designs today and it turned out pretty great!

Beforehand, he had a little bit of fun with the concept sketches and added some fun background details to showcase the potential of what could come ;)

I figured some of you might enjoy me sharing this with you haha.

I'm feeling pretty good about having a playable version of House Chores released later this month but there is still a full scene and a full CG 'moment' that I'd like to get done so it mainly depends on how long that takes.  I'll let you all know when that date is coming when it gets closer and more certain!  Until then, I'll keep sharing teasers so you know that the project IS coming along haha.

A Nice View (tease)

Hey!

I promised an art teaser before the end of the month and while cutting it close- I'm making sure I deliver!

Here's one of the finished profile/teaser images in House Chores.  This particular view will be the root cause of our main character's troubles through the story.  A view like that certainly is breathtaking...

The latest Town of Passion build was just finished so now I'm going to spend the month of July working on both Zombie's Retreat AND digging deep into the first chunk of House Chores.  Sassquatch has finished a lot of his personal objectives and is able to start working on the project as well so expect a busy month next month!

An extra special thank you as well to the current Patreon supporters.  I apologize that I wasn't able to get a playable build out as early as I initially wanted to but I will try my best to make sure the wait is worth it!

Pardon the Mess - Progress Report 6/19

Hey everyone!

I think you're all more than due for an update so here's another progress report!

== Release Progress ==

Initially I said I wanted to have a playable alpha build (a tech demo) available this month but I'm starting to think that it won't be doable or a good idea in general.  

I'm still learning the in's and out's of the engine and things are going well but ultimately this tech demo would be pretty boring and empty if I released one this month.  Until I have a 'scene' that's ready, I don't think I'm quite ready to push a playable version of House Chores out. 

I apologize for the bad news but I hope you all understand.  The start of this project is challenging because there are so many rooms, busts, locations, etc that must be commissioned before things feel presentable.  Once most of the house is complete, I think things should be easier as art will be almost entirely NSFW scenes at that point.

== Art Block (temporary) ==

Progress on the art side has been halted for a little bit as Sassquatch has mentioned he has some very important things to get done for university stuff over the past couple of weeks.  He's mentioned that he should be free about a week from now to resume full speed around then!

== Early Patrons ==

I also wanted to take a second to acknowledge the Patrons who have already begun pledging.  I can't thank you enough and some of you have pledged some crazy amounts!

I will release a sneak peak at a nice little image soon for Patrons as it's at least SOMETHING to give to you all for supporting!  

If you wish to cancel your pledge because of this delay, that is totally okay and I understand!  Either way, thank you all for your support!  I really hope you enjoy House Chores when it's available to play through!

Progress Report - May 27th

Hey guys!

A lot of progress has been made on some of the basic art for House Chores.  In case you missed it, we've got a fun little logo for the game now up at the top!  It has a few variations too that you may be seeing later on ;P

== Release Date ==

So far I'm planning on doing sort of a split early release.  I want to create sort of a tech demo that will help some of the early supporters get a feel for how the game is going to play.  This likely won't really have a whole lot of NSFW content but is rather a way for those interested to see more of what the game's about.  I hope to release this next month in June.

THEN I'm thinking that the first major build of the game will release in July where the game will really start to take off with potentially the entire first day being playable!

Keep in mind, this is all tentative.  These plans may happen sooner or later than expected but this is what I'm aiming for!

That's about everything for this progress report!  We've got a second background completed and a third has begun to start.  On top of that, the MC now has a design and there are two other characters who will likely be joining in on the story soon so there's a lot to look forward to!

First Look! + Progress Report

Hey guys!

Progress on House Chores has been moving much faster than anticipated.  I've spent some time learning the in's and out's of the visual novel engine and while I still have much to learn, I'm feeling very confident about accomplishing the goals and visions that I have for the game which has been very exciting!

Here's a look at one of the main characters of the game.  She's a very special character who has a close relationship to the Main Character.  

Her design, and the early part of the plot is actually based off of a pretty old school meme.  Do you know what it is? ;)

I'd also like to officially announce that the art for House Chores is being lead by Sassquatch

There's still much more art that needs to be completed but it's progressing quickly as well.  Ideally, I'd love to have a playable Alpha build/demo that's playable in June but July would probably be the latest date.

Information and updates may be a little more sparse from here on out until the first demo but I will be sure to share more info once i've got it!

Dev Log - House Chores

Hey guys!

Here's the first post on this new Sirens Paradise channel so I figured I would outline some of the basic plans & goals for House Chores.


== Third Project ==

Working on Town of Passion and Zombie's Retreat has been, and continues to be a fun and worthwhile experience.  But I've been at a mental crossroads for over half a year now.

I have so many ideas for games that I want to make, but I have no idea how long I'll be making games.  So I wanted to push my limits and try to balance a much smaller third project on the side on occasion.  House Chores satisfies that creative itch perfectly. 

I do know I'm probably opening myself up to more scrutiny by announcing this project while still working on two others.  Just know that I sat on the idea of working on this game for months and ultimately, I found myself happier pursuing it rather than not.  And besides, it's just more NSFW content for you to try out and possibly enjoy ;)

ToP and ZR will still progress as usual even with a third project in the mix.  They are remaining my top priorities and House Chores is designed to be simple as a result.


== Visual Novels ==

A future style of games that I want to try and create are visual novels.  That's the second step in my plan to create games of different genres and playstyles.  The first being RPG's made with RPG Maker (ToP & ZR).  

I still plan to make future titles in RPG Maker but I want to step out of my comfort zone and re-enjoy that excitement I felt when I first dabbled in RPGM by learning a new engine.

House Chores will be like my own little personal learning project.  A game where I learn what I'm capable and what I can do in a visual novel format.  Meanwhile, players get to enjoy a nice little story that is told along the way.

If things go well and I truly enjoy creating VN's like I hope I will, I may expand on other VN ideas that I have as well!


== House Chores Timeline ==

I'm hoping to have a playable demo of sorts available sometime this summer.  The initial commissions are by far the slowest because there are so many backgrounds and art that needs to be completed before I can begin.

Once the Alpha is released, I hope to release builds every 2 months like my other projects with House Chores being released around the same time as Zombie's Retreat usually is.  I still do not know how plausible this will be but I think it can be done given how simple the idea is for House Chores.  By no means will it be as lengthy and extensive as ZR or ToP.

I'm hoping to complete House Chores within a year.  I don't want to spend ANY more time on it.  If I were to release a build every 2 months, this would mean 6 builds.  I want the game to take place in the span of 5-6 days so it'd work out very well.
