On the update

Hi

Well, it's all but done. 

Just waiting on the last batch of 20 renders to finish. Should be a few more hours. But it's almost1:30 AM over here, and I have to go to bed. So the release will have to wait till tomorrow at about noon. Have to go to the dentist in the morning.

Making this post so that people don't wait through the night or something.

Things are chugging. I can be more accurate now.

Most of the update is done. Mostly the animations left to do.

I think everything will be done by Friday. Yeah, that should be enough time.

I know I've been a little quiet in the past couple of weeks. Been a little busy. With the new Iray server I had to make a few adjustments.

But the update is chugging along. Well past the half way point by now. And will likely be released around this time next week. I'll make a post on Sunday for a more precise date.

I was hoping that the renders would be finished today, but they aren't. Going a little slower than I had hoped.

About 25 left to go. They might be finished tomorrow, and the testing process could go without a hitch.

But, just in case, I'm pushing the update to Monday/Tuesday.

Also, we've made a more user friendly method for players to add input into the game. Lots of people were confused last update when Alex asked you for a second nickname.

Things are pretty good. Chugging along.

We'll finish much earlier this month. Last time we cut it pretty close since I had a lot of time to make up for from my vacation. Not to mention the Holidays.

But I've had a lot more time this month. So the update should be released around next Saturday, 25'th, 26'th. Something like that.

Merry Christmas

Hope you're having fun and not eating too much.

We had a little scare yesterday, when 2 of my GPUs clanked on me, and I was afraid that would delay the update. But after some finagling, we managed to get the old render times on fewer GPUs. So, the update will be ready around Sunday.

There's not that much to report. Things are chugging along.

Not much trouble so far, but I haven't started on the animations yet. 

As for the release date. Probably towards the end of next week.

IR 0.70.1 Just fixes and progress update on Alex

Hi

I've fixed the bugs that have been reported. At least I hope so :D

No new content in 0.70.1 compared to 0.70. Just bug fixes.

Please let me know if you stumble on new ones. 

I'll give it one more day for more bug reports till I send it to the coder for the android version. So, that should be ready next week. If more bugs don't pop up, that is.

Well, long story short, the update will be on the 5'th.

You'll notice that there is no picture for this post. That's because the wifi in my hotel is so crappy I can't even download a pic from my g-drive.

Between that, my laptop messing up and the time constraints, I've had it with trying to release while I'm in Thailand.

As you may know, I've went on a little vacation to Thailand. Took a laptop with me to finish up. But it seems I vastly overestimated the free time I would have.

Well. All the renders have finished rendering. Animations too. And the outline was written a while ago.

All that's really left  to do is to write some of the  dialogue. Now, I'm travelling for the next  couple of days, so I won't be able to do much work. But on the weekend I should be. So,  the update will be released Saturday or Sunday.

With me leaving near the end of the month, I've been working like a dog to get this done before then. Pulling all nighters, and all that.

And good news. Most of the renders are prepared. Will finish preparing in the next couple of days,  I think. Now preparing them, and rendering them are 2 different things. But the hardest part is done.

I'll keep this very short, since I'm half way asleep as I'm writing this.

Got home from work very late yesterday, and slept till noon. So I had to work almost non stop to get it done. But here it is.

Biggest update yet. 430 renders including animations. 

Hope you enjoy it. I'll make another post tomorrow about plans.

Had to move some scenes around. A scene I rendered for Jenny, I had to push back in the timeline. And so, of course, I had to replace it with another scene. That delayed me a while.

Progress report and redone android version

Hi

Things are chugging along.

Still quite far away from release, of course. I want to end the update with MC  and the girls finally going away on their little getaway. Seems a good place to stop for me. But there are a few scenes that need to be done before then.

That's about it.

Also, we reduced the size of the android version to well under 2GB. We hope this fixes the issues. If it doesn't please let me know.

Got the android release. Hope it works, unlike in the past.

Started work on the next update. Still early days, though.

I've also started preparing the new environments for the next IR update (need quite a few of those for Andrew's vacation) since it seems people have been missing Kelly ;D

Things are chugging along.

The only issue is the animations. The old animator didn't work out, so we found a new one.

These are really good. The only issue is, his animations are 105 renders long, as opposed to the old 30 renders. So, of course they will take longer to render,

Other than that, there are no issues.

The update will be released next week. I'm hoping for Tuesday. But it really depends on how long it will take to render the new animation...
