Alexandra quick fix

Hi

It's come to my attention that one of the variables wasn't declared properly.
Here is a fix for that.

Just drop it into your "game" folder. Overwrite when prompted. Everything should work fine now.

I'll have to keep this pretty short.

Most of the images for Alexandra have been prepared for rendering. Over the course of the rest of this week, this is what I'll be doing. I'm sure there will be some last minute renders necessary, there always are. But It's pretty much done on the front. Also, I'll be finishing up the dialogue.

I expect to be done by next Tuesday, or Wednesday. The only thing that will be left after that will be testing. Since the game is completely...

Been pretty busy this week. 

Managed to do quite a lot of work on both Haley and Alexandra.

On the Alexandra front, I've passed the 150 renders mark today. So, we're about half way there.

There is still some connective tissue renders to be done between the different stories that I've squeezed into one, but we're well on our way.

I started work on adding content to Alexandra. 

Not that much to say, it's still in the early stages. About 60 renders prepared so far. But it's still a long way to go. I expect to be in the usual 250 to 300 renders when all is said and done.

The story has grown more linear. That's to be expected after turning it into a VN.

I don't have a much more to say.

Finished in the nick of time. Had a few health troubles on Saturday, that delayed me a bit. Nothing serious. But I managed to make up for it today.

Progress report and release date

Hi


Things are going well, and the patch is almost finished.

I didn't really like the ending however, and I decided to add a little bit more to it. Essentially a Jessica scene that I had planed for the next patch. But since right now the patch ends just before it, I'm thinking that I might as well add it.

Right now we stand at 305 renders and 4 animations. This will extend things to 320 renders and 6 animations.

There isn't that much to say right now. Things are chugging along.
Will have 300 renders by the end of this week, and 2 more animations are done.

All in all, I expect to release the update sometime near the end  of next week.

I'll make a post a couple of days before the release to confirm the date.

Things on IR are progressing quite well. Reaching 200 renders, probably by the end of this week. And 2 animations so far. Like I said, this will be a bit larger than the previous patches, but we're well under way.

Well, I've started work both on IR and the Alexandra conversion.

About 100 renders have been prepared for IR. But we're still not anywhere close to a release date. As player made choices are starting to impact the story more and more, storylines are being separated depending on the choices made. This means that more and more renders are needed to cover the same ingame time period. As a consequence patches are growing larger. So, we'll probably pass the 300 mark until everyt...

I've put up the poll. And the results so far are in favor of switching Alexandra to a VN. Right now it's at a ration of 5 to 1 in favor of the switch. I'll leave it up a little more, but I think it's pretty much decided.

This means I'll start work on the conversion. It will take some doing, bringing together all those separate storylines. So, I'll start on that today.

Got back from vacation last night.

When I came back, all the renders were finished.

There are still a couple that have to be redone, and there's still post work to do. And putting together the animations. The frames themselves are finished. But the background is still absent. 


All in all, the patch will be released sometime towards the middle of next week. Then next post will be that.

I was hoping to have over 200 renders prepared by today.

Happy to say that as of right now, I'm at 252.

I'll be able to easily finish preparing the renders by Sunday, when I leave on vacation.

This means that I should have all the renders rendered by the time I come back next weekend.

So, no delays.


I'll make another post next Saturday when I come back from vacation to set a firm date for the release.

Will keep this relatively short.

I've prepared 160 renders and 3 animations so far. So things keep on chugging along.

And I'd like to announce that it's August and it's time for my summer vacation.

I'll be gone from the 12th to the 17th. How this will affect the next patch, I don't know.

So the most likely release date for the patch will be somewhere around the 19th/20th.

Things are chugging along.

Passed the 100 prepared renders mark today. But it's still a long way to go.

Especially since as I'm writing the story, it seems to be growing. And I'm not sure that 300 renders will be enough for this update.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the last IR patch.

The thing is. I got some ideas while writing the last patch, but it was to late for me to try to include them. I had already set a date for the release, and didn't want to delay everything by weeks.

I said I'd give a firm release date today.

Well, not quite all the renders have finished processing. But all the PC's have the last batches running.

If there are no surprises it should all be done on Monday evening. But since there are always surprises, I'm setting the release date for Tuesday morning.


So, the release date for the patch is Tuesday morning at the latest. If things go well, might be Monday evening.

Well, not that much to say.

I've prepared 250 renders, and 4 animations.
What's left to do is 50 renders, postwork, coding and half the dialogue.

The biggest thing is how long will it actually take to process the renders. Going full steam on 5 PC's right now. And 200 of them are processed. Still, I imagine that by Friday all 300 the renders should be processed.

If that's the case, the patch will be released on Sunday or Monday. 300 renders 4 or 5 animations....

Well, it's been a few days now. 

Enough for me to know what kind of difference making my own program does.

It's pretty significant.

I'm at 175 renders for IR now, and did 2 animations. One of those need to be redone, though. Didn't come out as good as I hoped. Who knew that blowjobs were more difficult than sex.

A couple of things.

First of all, my long job transition if finally finished.

From now on I'll be working from home.


Unfortunately, I've had a hell of a last week at the office. 10 to 12h days. And I've only managed to prepare 30 renders since the last report on Monday.

But with the extra time I'll have from now on, I should be able to more than make up for it in the coming week.

It's hard to say by how much my 'productivity' will increase...

Well, Kelly is up. 

That's how I think I'm going to do it. One Alexandra, one Kelly and so on.

Just started on it, so I can't tell you much yet. It will be around 250 to 300 

renders. I've only prepared 20 so for.

As ever, I'll make progress reports every few days to let you know how it goes.


Also, there is a bug with the Danny mission in Alexandra.

Well, the renders are all prepared. About 30 left to actually render.

The final tally is 297.

 Still need to do the post work, and finish up the dialogue. 

So the patch will be released sometime near the end of next week.

During weekdays, I can't be sure of how much work I can do. Sometime I come home from work rested, and can do a lot. Other times I'm exhausted,  and do next to nothing. That's why I say, near the end of next week.

All the renders for the main mission are done. Just the side mission left.

The outlines of the scripts are finished.

The plan is to prepare the renders for the side mission this week. Use this weekend to complete the dialogue, and release the patch sometime next week.

And I just got the reviewed code back from the coder. Didn't go through it yet. I hope to do it tonight.

The newly hired coder is working on the background code. I'm told it will be finished by the 5th.

Well, the IR patch seems to have gone over well with you guys. And I'm happier with it too, then with other patches. So this is how we're going to  do it from now on. Not putting an artificial release  date seems to work better.

Next up is Alexandra. 

Happy to tell you that I've hired a part time coder. So the coding stuff shouldn't be an issue anymore. He's going to handle all that stuff.

What I plan for this update are 2 missions. 1 main and one...

Just giving you a quick heads up.

It's almost all finished, animation included. Hope you like what I did in terms of improving the lighting. Not in all the scenes. Just the new locations. The lighting in the old ones has already been established, and it's to late to change it now :(

The only things left to do are:

1) Finishing the last 200 lines of dialogue. But that's not a big thing. 4 hours work, maybe.

2) Sending the dialogue to the proof reader. Again...

Didn't quite get there. I'm at 192.

I'd say that I'm 1 day behind where I'd like to be. But we're ok.

Everything going well, the patch will be released early next week.

Don't ask me exactly on which day, but sometime in the first half of next week.

Unfortunately for the last 3 days progress has been a little slow. RL work.

So, I've only made it to 125 renders. I hope to be able to make up for it during the weekend. And have the patch ready early the week after next.

If I get to 200 by Monday. And that shouldn't be too difficult. I'll have all next week for the animations. And next weekend for the code, finishing up the dialogue etc....

That would just leave some bughunting and grammar corrections.

I was hoping to say that I have 100 renders prepared tonight.

Well, close enough, I suppose. I have 98 :D

Some are proving quite difficult, but I'd say that we're almost half way there.

I'm leaving the animations for last. Mostly because of that codec issue that I mentioned in previous posts.
