Vampire or no?

Hello friends! I'm writing the next chapter of Balgruuf the Great and I'd like to know if ya'll would be interested in him becoming a vampire or no?

Being a vampire has its base  advantages, such as increased strength, night vision, and other esoteric abilities. Being a vampire, Balgruuf would still be able eat and taste food, and most importantly, have kids.

But he will be allergic to the sunlight and he'll be incredibly flammable. Plus, vampires aren't exactly accepted i...

Balgruuf

A jaunty hum escaped my lips as I attended to the paperwork of the day. It was proving to be rather productive. Visitors were at an all time hall, the coffers were getting filled by the daily, banditry and other disturbances were low and generally, the Hold was moving along smoothly. As much as people love battles and duels, I wagered that a life of peace and prosperity was a far greater achievement for a ruler to have. Take for example, when Antoninu...

Kar En Tuk Chapter 24 (Doom Eternal/Warhammer 40K)

+++

With the banishment of the bloodthirster, the victory for the Imperial and Sentinel forces was all assured. Without a clear chain of leadership, the heretic forces scattered like animals for the slaughter. There was no mercy for them, the Emperor's Justice handed out freely and duly on the traitor, the mutant, and the heretic. No cries of pity heeded. They had all bought misery and suffering into the planet as well as turning their backs against their fellow men.

No quar...

The Bloodthirster roared at him, weathered scaly leather wings swept out like a dark canvas that blot out the sun in its outstretched terror. He took a step forward with one terrible hooved foot, the very air around it seemingly distorting as he poured his dark and hateful will against reality itself. His clawed hands grasped at a mighty axe that oozed sheer and mind-numbing rage. He was an ugly dreadful thing, his skin a malevolent red. He bore black armor decorated with the skull...

Finding myself dead was an experience. Waking up in a void with floating whales, bobbing buildings and hectic scenes of my life was so much more. I did not panic however, knowing of where I was and who exactly I was going to meet. I climbed some buildings, passing by scenes frozen in time. I did not pay it any mind however, intent on pushing on. Eventually, I arrived at my destination and there, a young man in brown stood there, patience on his body. He looked up as I approached, je...

Cassius Aquillon

The cool air of Whiterun Plains swept below from the high peaks and onto the lowlands below. Cassius breathed in the healthy air as the outline of the grand city came into view. It only took him a week but he was finally here, at Whiterun. He leaned down to give his horse a pat, whispering. "Come now, Imperator. We are near the city. You'll be able to rest soon."

His horse, a black stallion, snorted in acknowledgement and soon enough,...

Seeing the Atlesian Army at work gave me a stroke.

The defense that they had put up during Salem's attack in Vol. 8? It sucked ass. It made me puke. The very core of my being made me want to vomit onto the floor and roll around as the sweet coil of death releases me from remembering the Atlesian Army existed. I wasn't a military man by any means so it seems baseless for me to even criticize the performance of Atlas when Salem's whale vomited a bumfuck huge army to give A...

A word of thanks

Hey guys. I've only just been able to finally look at the goal I had put up on reaching a hundred plus in terms of dollarydoos for the stories I had written down. I only got to look at it now thanks to Patreon finally updating their user interface to be much more easier to use than whatever the hell they had put up.

Thank you, all of you, for the support you had given me. You have no idea how much your support means to me at this time. I am facing a certain crossroads of my life where...

Irileth

It hurt. It had hurt a lot. Being in that office and listening to him end what they had was like a knife being jabbed into her stomach. But then again, she knew what she and Balgruuf was getting into. His real lover was Whiterun and its needs outweighed theirs. She wasn't going to go stomp around and bemoan what they had lost, that was not how Irileth responded to loss. No, she was going to stand up and fight.

Being a mer, Irileth knew that even ...

An art piece made for Balgruuf the Great. The artist currently is still building her portfolio and will be uploading more in Twitter soon. I have been poking her countless of times to set up her own Twitter page so people can see her art but for some reason, she is taking her sweet ass time because she thinks that her art is mid.

Who should Balgruuf marry?

So, who should be Balgruuf's partner? Below are the reference pictures if you haven't seen them.

Lucia is the black-haired woman and her family has connections to the Elder Council as well as a stake East Empire Trading Company.

Nedolara is the sole Dunmer and would allow a connection to House Hlaalu and Cheydinhal, her family's seat.

Cecilia will win stronger connections to the Legion

Helga will secure Falkreath and Whiterun's western flank.

The shuffling of paper and the occasional sip from brown mugs echoed in the room, conversation long since gone as grim-faced men read through prepared notebooks. From behind his desk, Endarion sat patiently, his face serene as his work was reviewed by three men in dark hoods.

Finally, the silence was broken as one of the men spoke up.

"Sterilization camps? Breeding permits?" It was a questioning stat...

My eyes opened at the crow of the roosters. The warmth I had felt during the night was gone. A part of me was disappointed as I was looking forward to waking up to her at my side but it was mitigated by my understanding of our places in life. She was as much my lover as my Housecarl. She had duties and so did I. Judging by the tidiness of her side of the bed, she probably woke up even earlier than me, myself a early riser.

Dressing up, I...

Once everything was settled, Elaine ordered the refugees to pack up and move. While the presence of Captain Titus meant that their chances of survival had dramtically increased, she wasn't willing to risk staying a bit longer and have the giant fight the entirety of the Scourge. Massively skilled as he was, judging from the voice, there was no way that giant could take on their enemy. Her men formed a protective ring for the refugees, the first and last defense for them. Their rifle...

Of course, the reward for a job well done is even more work. And it was best that I get to it as soon as I could.

The crown of Skyrim aside, I had to first focus on local matters in Whiterun and it is from this seat I was going to turn into the model I had envisioned for Skyrim. After all, if I was planning to introduce reforms to Skyrim, I would have to convince the other Jarls of its benefits and there was no higher form of persuasion th...

Their return to Whiterun was as expected, triumphant.

Men, women, and children all crowded together to greet the returning army. The banner of Whiterun proudly hung and swayed in the breeze, colorful garlands of flowers fluttered on window stills, and flowers were tossed at the marching soldiers. Irileth felt a headache as her hearing, twice as sensitive than men, endured the cheers and roars of the crowds who only got louder and louder as the...

At this point, there was nothing else left but to return home. There were some final agreements, just a signing of things and organizing a system of deliveries as well as swearing in an oath of friendship between Markarth and Whiterun.

The race of Mer is a long lived one, a single Mer able to witness climactic events in history and recall it as if it was yesterday's memory. Irileth for her part frankly had enough of living and seeing through climactic historical events. The siege of Markarth was going to be a historical footnote for Skyrim, she was sure of it, she could feel it in her bones.

The Jarl of Markarth breathed out.

It had been hours since the infiltration force they sent left the camp and he and the rest of the army stood at the ready for the gates to be opened, and the impatience he was feeling grew and grew as time moved on.

The plan was simple. Send a force into the secret passage at the far wall at Markarth's left, kill anyone who stood in the way, and open the gates. To ensure that they wouldn't be spo...
