Hope everyone is doing well.
A little update for the upcoming v0.14. Everything's fine so far. had to do some rerenders and a hot bunch of spot renders to make but I'm back on track finishing the continuation of Asako, if you chosen the option for her in previous releases. And if I can squeeze it in, there will be the "Bodyguard" plot as well going forward. Isn't that great?
Release is scheduled for the beginning of april. What else?
I don't want to brag but the art and design over the last 2 years have been changed a lot. A lot of developments had taken place, new stuff like high resolution HDRI`s are available to let the renders look fresh and crispy and all that time I think it's gotten better and better. Even so much that looking at the first few images of Softlinxxx don't look very appealing anymore. Way too much artifacts, bad lighting, bad positioning, background images switching places and so on.
So I'm thinking about to remake the first third of Softlinxxx completely anew. Considering that this would take a huge chunk of effort, time and energy Is till haven't reached a conclusion on when to do it. Maybe after 0.14 or when the visual novel has ended but I can't really tell how long Softlinxxx will still run. There's a ending, yes but as with every development there can be changes and ides to fit into the narrative so I don't know when it will end. Because of that rerendering the first third parts to do as soon as possible would be a better idea. My head hasn't made up its mind about that.
Anyway 0.14 will come out in a few weeks and it will be packed for Asako and Zandra lovers.

Here`s a short update for you.
The new release is almost done. I started writing the dialogue and began the coding.
it should be ready in a week or so. Can't really pinpoint an exact date because as always there will be flaws and mistakes that I haven't seen while working on the renders. Or if there's a need for additional renders to expand a scene.
What's to expect in 0.13?
This release finally finishes the three choices you could make when deciding on one of the girls to call for finding a techrat to mod A-Z. The new Trish has been ready to make an appearance for a while and it's time to give her some stage in Softlinxxx. Are you excited to spend some time with the raven haired beauty?

how`s life?
Hope you all had splendid holidays. 2022 is kicking off. Mostly my knee. Had a sharp pain on christmas day when I tried to evade something on the floor laying around. Since then the shit is comign and going and soemtimes my right knee looses its ... how can i say? Its function to keep the leg straight, that's the best how to describe it. Have to grab onto something so I don't fall and sometimes the knee gets stiff and hurts when using the stairs.
Got a doctors appointment in the next days. I hope it's something that can get fixed.
So much for that.
Despite the damn knee, the work on 0.12 is going forward. Slowly but steady. Imagecounter is at 92. Final size will be around 150 images approximately. Don't have a release date yet but it will be soonish.

This is the 100th dev update. Amazing. Never thought I could make it this far. But we did it.
And this train won't end ... at least if nothign bad happens to me. Feels great to have come this far and looking into the future it's gonna be a good 2022. I got plans for things to happen and I hope you will love them as well.
Good news: In the here and now I can say that rendering for the v0.13 of Softlinxxx is going fine. With the next release the choices at this point in the storyline for Trish, Asako and Ceejay are done. I admit it was maybe a bit too much to wait for the people that follow this VN for other girls but rest assured they will get their fair share too.
Bad news: I don't know if I can finish this update before christmas due to some distractions IRL that kept me from working my regular schedule.
One last thing: The Tier 1 will get changed again. Access to future releases will be 7 days after Tier 4.

Today I want to inform that the benefits of the existing tiers have changed a bit.
1$ tier will get access to patreon posts and discord benefits but nothing more. Why?
because it's a waste of money for both of us. You have to pay more(1.19) while I get less(only 0.65 after fees and shit) That affects my ability to create this VN in the long run and it's planned that Softlinxxx will be around for some time.
Then there are some slight changes for the 3$ tier, the 5$ tier and the 10$ tier. Nothing big but you can have a look at your benefits when checking your tier.
25$ tier and 50$ have been added to give patrons the most out of my work. Wallpapers, polls, previews, commissions it's all there.
I hope you can understand that this changes needed to be made. Your support sustains my work and keeps Softlinxxx in existence.

Usually I don't like sand. It' s coarse, rough and iritating and it gets everywhere. But here in the mythical desert of GleenXStudios` "Sandstorm" everything is soft and smooth.
It's an epic and sexy adventure featuring a group of friends who were having a fun trip in Egypt. When they visited the famous Abu Simbel temples, a strange masked lady brought you to a special part of the temple and you witnessed an unbelievable scene.
From there, things started to turn sour, and you and your friends are thrown into an erotic adventure full of ancient mysteries. You will live this adventure with your friends (Rion, Maddie and Julian) and along your trip, you will also meet the sexy Zaya and the charming Nora. SandStorm is the first episode of a bigger saga called Erastorm created by GleenXStudio, and is related to ancient Egypt.
If you like mythology, mysteries, music, adventures and sexy girls with deep character development, you will probably enjoy his games. The choices matter in Erastorm games and will lead to many routes and endings, making your experience different. The game can be played at least 3 or 4 times, according to the girl you follow and the important choices you will make, your experience and adventure can and will be quite different.
There is at least 5 different endings. No grind, no sandbox, just a highly replayable VN if you want to discover all scenarios, romance different girls or unlock all scenes. The last update v0.8 features a Gallery Room, a Replay Room and a music Room with 80 songs to unlock. A lot of attention is paid to the music and to the atmosphere in order to give you the best experience possible. Don’t forget to put the sound ON. 😉

You are waiting I know. But writing for 180 images instead of the usual 120-140 takes a bit longer than expected especially after adding the sex scene in the last week. I try to not make the sound like all Aaaaaah`s and Uuuuuhh`s and to be honest, they are my least favorite thing to write. My estimate for the whole writing proces was set a bit too tight. I have to remember this if I make another update this big.
Apart from that, I have a shoulder that hurt massively for a few days and that was no fun, I tell ya. With a bit of good old Voltaren it's manageable to work with that old bone and it slowly gets better.
Status of the writing is at roughly 50% and v0.12 should drop in the next days.

It's been a busy two weeks. Got the bonus gallery, Redesigned Trish's new hair a bit and implemented a new button which I totally forgot all this time.
Ladies and Gentlefucks, I present to you the Exit button:
There it is sitting nice and tight in it's little left down corner ... Awww isn't it nice to have an exit? It sure does.
When I open Softlinxxx it's mostly for correctional purposes and thus I close it via the X button like any other window. Only a few days ago people called that lacking option to my attention and I was totally facepalming. If you're in the VN, just right click, then click "MENU" and the button will show up.
Placed the buttons a bit lower so they don't overlap with the menu image when loading/saving or when in the settings menu. That should make it more comfortable to navigate the screens.
The next change is a bit experimental. If you had ever trouble to distinct chat from thought, worry no more.
Thoughts are now coloured AND italic. Great eh?
Furthermore, if you start Softlinxxx for the first time the music and sounds should play at 50% volume. You can always turn up the awesome music if you want to. Very cool.
What's up with v0.12?
Work has started, and the "Solo" choice will be done in that update. Well, not as solo as it was suggested and you gonna see a character that you haven't seen for a long time.

The ones that have dowloaded the 100 bonus gallery may have seen the new tier images.
They will be replacing the old ones in a few days when the new benefits and tiers for you will be available. And as it may hurt, there will be some changes coming for tier 1 that a lot of people may won't like but it will be necessary. But more on that in the next post in a few days.

Good news. I'm almost done with writing and looking to release v0.11 tomorrow. Fingers crossed that nothing postpones it.
As said in an earlier post, this release will focus on the story and gives you the opportunity to chose from 3 options: Going to the techshop to upgrade A-Zs` weapon mods with either Asako, Trish or "solo". 0.11 will introduce you to the Asako choice first. Trish#s choice will be next in 0.12.

You might want to hear that I focus on releasing v0.11 at the end of the week. Writing for it has already began yesterday and as always encountered some late popping in flaws and mistakes which were taken care of(some hair clipping, clothing poke through)
The usual as it seems. Never had a release without them.

Last steps before I start writing this update after rendering is done. Alright, as you may know there's a new girl that MC is gonna meat ... uh meet, and her Techshop needed a serious reworking.
This was more about the look of the things in the background. Whole asset is good with a good sci fi vibe. But like most assets, if you get too close the textures, even in 4k, don't look very pretty.
The table is looking blurry and the wallpapers too. The bezels of the computerscreen neede a reshading too. Fortunately, the creator distinguished the parts from another. Some parts can be seperately reshaped,reshaded and replaced. So that's what I did. Hooray for shader assets!
And this how the workshop will look like. New shaders for the table, the walls, the computerscreen bezels and the datapad. Looks cleaner and way more appealing, right?

Was postworking some of the older images from over a year ago ... unbelievable that this VN already exists for that long and still will grow in the future, right?
Want to show you the difference between the old images and the new ones. Unfortunaetly it bumped up the size of them too so you can expect the next update to be bigger.
Postwork changed a lot in that time. At first it was very simple by adjusting contrast and then changing the levels of shadows and contrast in PS. Then as I watched more tutorials abt Image manipulation the process got way more refined and also learned how to setup a batch action so the images didn't had to get postworked one after another.
Anyway, let me show you the results.

You see that Zandra's eyes got more emphasis and the screens in the background became much sharper than the original one.

Cary-June's figure and shadows are a bit murky in the original but after postwork she gets a much needed clarity. And her jewelry gets more bling-y.

You can see how postwork brings out more of the hair strands in this one. Also her lip glossiness looks better and you can see more pores on her skin. Maybe the postwork was a bit too much on her ...
Example #4
A more complex scene with more lights and shadows. The light reflections on the walls get way more pronounced than in the original. And the rim lights on MC's legs give him a better contour and lets him stand out more.
I love the new clarity of the postworked images in 90% of the time. There are some where it goes a bit overboard but that may be a question of the own preferences.

As for the upcoming v0.11 of Softlinxxx I can say that rendering goes along very nicely. Roughly half of them are finished and after the poll closes on Wednesday the rest is getting made. You can choose two paths again. One is Trish, super silky as ever and the other is Asako, the fit asian ray of sunshine.
It's a tough choice both are absolutely stunning girls but you will get some insights on either of them.
Oh btw thanks to the rising patron numbers I was able to get me a nice new Espresso- Mokkamaker and a good brand of "Lucifers Roast" beans. Apparently these beans contain 500mg of Coffee per cup. No sleep til Brooklyn!

You know as an artist and developer, you don't get much free time to play other games. Thus I'm a bit cautious with what I spend my time. And I gotta say MrKnobb provided an excellent freetime experience with his game "Alternate Existence".

As you know, my family got the 'rona and was put into quarantine for two weeks. All of them were tested again after that time and everyone is negative. A big relief to know that the family is healthy and isn't left with any long lasting side effects. I'm very happy about this outcome.
Because of the virus i delay the march update to april because there isn't enough that could qualify as a 0.9 as of now.
Working on the project was a drag. Not much development for the erotic side of Softlinxxx. But there was need for some other stuff i had to do. You know that i started learning Blender a few weeks ago and so i was watching a lot of tutorials for that. And the first result is an exchange for the DNA scene just at the start of the VN. (I was never satisfied with the look of the DNA on a green background)
What else?
Made a Twitter acc ... with nothing in it for now and thinking of adding some fetish roles for the discord server.

How's life?
last week i got a message from a family member saying that half of the family got Covid-19.
I was fucken shocked by that. We had to organise grocery shopping, doctor's appointments and such. With that going on i didn't had the time to write or render anything closely resembling erotic stuff.
Luckily, the covid seems to be mild compared to other people's experiences, so i have high hopes that it doesn't get worse next week and the week after.
Don't know if the deadline for the 10th of march can be made.
