Though many within Sharia had been suffering due to the long and cold Winter, it wasn't as though there wasn't enough food and supplies to go around. The nations of the Magic Triumvirate were so far North that they were covered in snow year-round. Thus, while they primarily survived due to animal husbandry, they had found solutions to growing crops in nearly arctic temperatures centuries prior.
The simple truth of the matter was that the people in charge of the Magic Triumvirate, despit...

After escaping Lisa's clutches, Paul returned to Amalie's bakery to explain the situation to Ei, Eula, Xiangling, and Ghislaine.
"So the idea is that we place a Lodestone at a central location and allow its influence to expand over time. We also need to travel around to place Beacons, but that's pretty much pointless unless we can supply them with Elemental Energy."
Being the most detail-oriented among the quartet, Eula suggested, "We can use the Princess and the dwelling you had ...

"Ad Astra abyssosque! Welcome to the Adventurers' Guild."
Though he had somewhat anticipated it, Paul couldn't help gawking at the dark-haired, blue-eyed woman greeting him with a perfectly professional smile on her face. Her green and white dress, reminiscent of a maid outfit, perfectly matched her ensemble from the game. The only difference was, much like everyone else that had appeared in the Intersection of Fate, her appearance matched the aesthetic of Mushoku Tensei.
"Kathery...

After paying a rather exorbitant fee at the Eastern gate, Paul and Party made their way over to the staging area at the side of the Guild.
While it was rare for individual Parties to own wagons, the Guild would sometimes stage large-scale expeditions when a monster horde or a new Dungeon appeared. Such ventures would require hundreds of Adventurers and dozens of wagons, so any Adventurer's Guild worthy of its name had a large staging area that served as a bulk drop-off location.

Lowering himself into a reverse drawing stance, Timothy maintained a look of conviction as he declared, "I just want to measure the distance between you and me..."
Punctuating his words, Timothy launched himself forward with enough momentum to kick up a swirl ...

After spending ten days in the wilderness, Paul finally gave the order to return. Ghislaine and Eula had managed to hunt down a relatively rare B-Rank monster known as a Sun Bear, so he wanted to pawn off the parts to the Guild before they could spoil.
Fortunately, as the land to the East was commonly used by Adventurers, there were significantly fewer bandits and slavers. The Adventurer's Guild would deploy A or even S-Ranked Parties to annihilate groups that hunted or enslaved its mem...

After picking up their brand new wagon, Paul and company made their way out the Eastern gate of Sharia. There were more forests to the West, but that was also the location of the Wyrm's Whiskers.
As much as he would like to eliminate a few, if not all, the bandit camps in the region, Paul knew it would only draw unwanted attention. It would be okay if he intended to settle in the territories of the Magic Triumvirate and support one of the existing political factions, but that was ...

"That blasted son of a whore! I'll see him, and every single one of those women reduced to slaves...!"
After recovering from the severe beating Paul had given him, the obese Merchant, better known as Dalon Eudigrass, immediately reported him to the soldiers responsible for Sharia's protection. Unfortunately, while they would intervene in ongoing disputes, they had absolutely no obligation to track down and hold people accountable for altercations that occurred in private. They may have ...

Though he was tempted to make good on his promise of 'destroying' Lisa to teach her a lesson, Paul didn't want to inconvenience her while she was at work. He also knew he wouldn't be able to calm down if he got too riled up, so, after registering Ei, Eula, and Ghislaine with the Guild, they formed a Party named Einherjar.
Due to his background as an aspiring Game Developer, Paul had always had a fondness for Norse and Viking culture. He also felt that the name Einherjar suited his Party...

With Ei, Eula, and Ghislaine following close behind, Paul headed toward the center of Sharia, the location of the Adventurer's Guild, a number of Magical Tool shops, and several other high-profile businesses.
Though he was somewhat interested in checking out the clothing stores with the girls, Paul reasoned there would be plenty of time for dates later. For now, he needed to meet up with his 'informant' and have Ei, Eula, and Ghislaine registered with the Guild.
As could be ...

Though he was planning to frequent the Guild a lot in the near future, Paul searched for places on the opposite side of Sharia to stay. He didn't want to share an abode with other Adventurers, so, rather than searching for an Inn closer to the town center, he investigated the small, comparably cozy hostels along the periphery.
In the process of searching for a place to stay, Paul's progress was halted by a young girl wearing a winter frock and carrying a basket of bread. Her black, cat-...

After parting ways with Revaan and the rest of the former slaves, Paul made his way to a brick building that resembled a miniature bastille. Like the rest of the Academy, it was constructed from a combination of Magic-proof bricks and rudimentary concrete that could resist up to Saint-Rank Magic. The exterior was predominantly red, but there was an ashen-grey trim around the base, while the expensive glass windows were shielded metal bars and bright green awnings.

Though he had expected Paul's group to be decently powerful, Saikon never expected to see his Lieutenants sliced through, weapons and armor included. Neither did he expect to be sent crashing through several trees by a human female whose waist was so thin he was pretty sure he could have grasped it with a single hand.

With two Kingdoms and a Dukedom occupying a relatively small 680,000 square kilometers of land, common sense would dictate the road between Tria and Sharia to be reasonably safe. Unfortunately, despite their relative progressiveness, accepting all races without discrimination, the nations of the Magic Triumverate also had a very active Slave trade.
Since it wasn't exactly feasible to import Slaves from other countries, the Ranoa and Neris Magic Kingdoms had made a secret agreement with ...

If she were being honest, Ghislaine wasn't too enthused about the notion of losing her virginity to anyone, much less a human. Unfortunately, even if she took medicine or exhausted herself with training, the symptoms of Ghislaine's heat grew stronger with each passing year. Had Paul not arrived, Ghislaine knew it was only a matter of time before she fled the Sword ...

They did go to his room, but all they did was hang out and talk about what life was like living in the Great Forest. The caveat was that Ghislaine laid her head in his lap and allowed Paul to pet her head as they did so.

Since he had been at the 'pinnacle' of the Advanced Rank for quite some time, Paul had no trouble besting four opponents in quick succession. One of the biggest weaknesses of traditionally trained Swordsmen, even those who ventured all the way to the Sword Sanctum, was their general lack of experience. They were too used to executing their techniques under ideal conditions, and though sparring was commonplace, they customarily held back to avoid injury.
