Status update

The majority of the script's lines for Reese have been recorded. Still waiting on Gunbunny's voice actress to set up her recording studio (she is moving).

The Gunbunny model is being skinned right now, maybe in a day or two it will be ready for some test animations.

It kinda sucks, doing this sort of background work, because it's nothing I can show you guys as tangible progress. Lots of hours, not much to look at. But the animations ought to go quickly and will look pretty cool when rend...

Got kind of sidetracked with a pipe that started leaking in my wall--pretty much destroyed the flooring in my guest bedroom, and did a good deal of damage to the neighbors below me. 

First they thought it was the air conditioner condensate line, so we fixed that, but it kept leaking, then they thought it was the roof, but found nothing, meanwhile the water kept accumulating despite fans and dehumidifiers and sucking the water out of the carpet with a shampooer and shop vacs. Status report

OK, vacation is over and I have my place back to myself, time to get cracking again on the project. I do confess I was working more on the script while on vacation and going through all the voice auditions as well. I've found perfect candidates for Gunbunny and Reese.

There are still a few "pending" patron charges on the list so I'll give it a couple more days and then send out the download link for the high-res stuff. If you don't hear from me by Saturday, please bug me about it.

Script main storyline is 100% done, side quests are maybe 50% written, demo level and some other level ideas laid out in sketch form, powerup/upgrade placement 80% done. Main player model is still not finished, I had hoped to have that done by this weekend but it's probably going to take into next week. And I also licensed $3000+ worth of music out of my own pocket, in case you were wondering how serious I was about this project :)

Status Report: The script is about 80% done at this point. I have the main plot progression intricately outlined and now I am working on sidequests, fleshing out cutscenes, figuring out upgrade placement/progression, and trying to figure out a few things, like... Should you be able to freely fly around the island to any location using Marie Blackstar's ship once she shows up (about 2/3 into the game)? Or should you require a hidden/huntable upgrade for fast travel? I've been testing a few things...

Status report: Got the bugs worked out with 3d studio and got cracking on the preliminary GunBunny in-game model. Things will be slow this week as I am going to Elliott's Spring Gathering this weekend and it will knock me out of the internet art world for a few days. The script is filling out nicely. I have also planned out how the levels will go together. I will build tile sets just like a sprite platformer, only using 3d components, and use these to build the levels. Been working away on some more concept scribbles, spending most of my time on this listening through Extreme Music's vast libraries of stuff to find stuff I think will work well for the soundtrack. Got some writing help for the script, which I am now going full burn on.

EDIT: I wrote this originally thinking it was Phutureprimitive's agents giving it the thumbs up, but I am still waiting on more info from them. Turns out the music that's good to go is Two Steps from Hell. Which is absolutely frigging awesome.
