The latest chapter of Racing Lagoon is now available. This was a very short chapter so please expect a much longer wait until the next one. Also: this chapter doesn't have an open world segment, so you may want to wait until the Night 8 patch to move forward in the story if you are playing the game actively.

This is a huge milestone for the patch. A TON of work was frontloaded on this project, with several text, image, and menu formats needing to be hacked before we could release a playable portion of the game. I'm so excited to finally be able to share it with you.

Racing Lagoon announcement trailer!

Hi all, super excited to share with you my next project. Racing Lagoon is a very cool game that many people have been requesting, and I'm finally ready to go public with it. I've created a prototype patch for the game that translates the opening cinematic and a couple lines from the opening. This is a much more technically tricky game to translate with a much larger scope than Dr. Slump, so I won't be finishing it in the same time frame as last time, I hope you understand.

My next project

Hi all, I've decided on my next game to translate, and I'm going to tackle Squaresoft's experimental JRPG/Racing hybrid game, Racing Lagoon for PS1. I've been hard at work cracking the file compression, verifying that I can edit the FMV's, and finding ways to inject a larger English script and I'm finally confident that I have it all figured out. This is a very ambitious project that is way bigger and more technically challenging than Dr. Slump so I hope you'll bear with me through it. I thou...

What's Next.

Dr. Slump is complete! I hope you've been enjoying the game. It was a blast to see people finally get a chance to play it. So what's next for me? I've been working very hard at gathering data and testing options for my next project. 

Initially I wanted to do the Fist of the North Star PS1 game, and I was actually able to crack the game open and edit the script. Unfortunately the game has many lines of voiced dialog that don't have subtitles, meaning I wouldn't be able to translate ...

Dr. Slump Version 1.1

Hi everyone! Based on the feedback I've gotten after the release I've put together a 1.1 version of the patch. I've changed some of the character portraits for Arale and Gatchan to reflect their classic design in the classic patch, as well as fixed some small typos.

Your existing save file is compatible with all versions of the patch, so you can continue playing with the new patch without having to start over!

Dr. Slump Complete English Patch!

It's done! The patch is finally complete! Thank you for choosing to support me throughout its development.

What's more is I've added the option to play as the original purple-haired Arale design with a matching green haired Gatchan!

I did do a full playthrough of it to make sure everything works, but if you do find and typos or bugs, please let me know and I will try to fix them.

Chapter 6 Complete Patch!

Hey, how's it going? Chapter 6 is fully translated and patched. Just 1 chapter to go and a little bit of an epilogue. Secret #2: Chapter 0, the beta chapter

Dr. Slump contains an entire heap of unused lines of text. Often random lines in the middle of a script never appear in game due to objects being moved to different scenes, sometimes lines are censored for content, and often for no clear reason whatsoever. However the largest source of unused text are in the files of an unused chapter, chapter "S00" as it's referred to in the files.

Hi again. Chapter 5 has been fully translated and patched. This leaves only 2 chapters to go. With so little to go I've been thinking about what I'll do after Dr. Slump is complete. If you have any suggestions or requests for untranslated Japanese games I'd love to hear it.

Chapter 4 Complete Patch!

Chapter 4 is now complete. I've also gone ahead and done all the texture editing for the remaining chapters, so all that's left is the script for the 3 remaining chapters. Once again, please let me know of any bugs or typos you come across.

I've also confirmed that ODE devices like xStations are now fully compatible with the patch!
