Johto Collaborations

Something I realised as I was planning the next 200 episodes of PokéSins was that I will eventually catch up to Johto on the main series. I have some ideas of what I'll do when that happens (I'll get your thoughts closer to the time), but something else that occurred to me is that these episodes will be the normal ones for the general public.

So I will have to include some collaborations.

Due to my new regime, I have scripted, recorded and edited the audio for this month's Unreleased Episode.

Assuming there are no catastrophic problems between now and then, it should be on track for release on the 10th.

PokéSins Ep36 Rendered

I should have updated last night, but by the time I realised that, I had already shut down my computer and got into bed...so...

But yes. Ep36 is rendered and will be up for EA as soon as it's uploaded.

I have also finally resolved to get ahead of my PokéSins uploads by adding another column to my video schedule; I will do part of an episode every day. By sticking to that, I should be well ahead of schedule and not miss another upload due to bad health/busyness/bad days.

If you follow me on Twitter, you'll probably know what's been happening with this one. Just in case, I'll outline it here.

I do all my video work on my desktop, but it didn't until recently have Office on it. Because of that, I did all my scripting (as well as other non-video writing) on my laptop. That laptop has been getting slower and slower for months.

As I went away last weekend, I left it to get reimaged and fixed. This means it becomes a blank slate. I backed everything up...

Okay... I admit. I'm not great at remembering to update you guys on progress. This is because I have REALLY erratic work hours, so it's difficult for me to 'call it' at the end of the work day.

This one, however, is mostly because I got distracted by the end of the world *cough*Fallout4*cough* and went straight from finishing the video into playing that.

The video was done too late for EA yesterday, so it's going up soon for EA patrons and public access tomorrow.

PokéSins Ep35 Update - Scripted

As those of you who follow me on Twitter may have guessed, I finished scripting Ep35.

 This one took me longer than normal because there were just so many suggestions. Maybe not more than normal, but it felt like there were. I ended using a good few, but a lot were repeats of each other or what I already had.

I hope to do a lot more work on this Ep tomorrow...maybe even doing some editing work. We shall see.

PokéSins Ep34 Update - Editing

Just thought I'd post an update so people don't get worried.

I've been working very hard on this episode today, but it's taking so much longer than I expected. Just...so many little bits.

I just spent 30 minues doing HALF of the captions. SO glad people convinced me to keep THEM in... Nah, they do help people, so I'll keep doing them, but these are such faff.

PokéSins Ep34 Update - Audio Edited

Right. Back to work on the series now that Origins is done for now.

After scripting/recording this prior to doing Origins 3, I've now gone back and edited the audio for Ep34.

I don't mind admitting that I wasn't sure how one part of it would turn out...it was a bit different. But I think it works perfectly. Made ME laugh, at least.

I'll continue working on it over the next few days, aiming for public release on Thursday.

Forgot to update about this yesterday, but it's the same as today.

I finished scripting Ep34 and...yeah... Those of you who know which episode this is will probably have some idea of my opinion on it...

Didn't use that many suggestions this episode as a lot of the non-priority ones were stuff I'd already included. A lot of the rest were the same as other people had posted as most people put the first 10 they think of while watching.

I know this one was a very long time coming and I cannot express how grateful I am for all of your patience.

Now I have to go finish scripting Ep34, record it, finish scripting Origins 3, record it, edit it, caption it and upload it.

MEFP Update

The 'missed episode forgiveness plan', or MEFP, was supposed to come out on Tuesday. I didn't have nearly enough time and I'm still working on it now.

Anyway, it's sort of vaguely kind of the end of the day even though I'm still working and will continue to for some time. Nonetheless, I'm going to do this compound update and see how it feels.

Ready for a big bomb that you guys have to keep secret? And there are only 23 of you, so I'll know if you don't.

Getting a couple more patrons, so I thought I'd ask you guys something I've been wondering for a while.

As no doubt some of you will have noticed, I tend to make the episodes in bursts... In the space of a day or two, they usually go from script to render. This can mean there are several update posts in quick succession. What I'm wondering is whether you guys like that or would prefer them as compound ones.

E.G. Instead of posting separately when the script is written, audio reco...

PokéSins Ep32 Early Access

Here it is. After 3 renders (the third of which took almost an hour), it's finally here.

Note: I am aware that there is a lot of visual glitches. The reason for these is I edit it in one format (so it doesn't lag and thus annoy me to hell) and then swap in a higher resolution format for the final version. Downside seems to be that it reduces the clarity of the final version.

As I cannot edit it in the higher-res format, it's either live with the glitches or upload it in a lower r...

I am now rendering Ep32 for the third time as the first time I forgot to switch out the source material and the second I noticed a mistake in the audio.

When this has rendered (and I've watched through to ensure quality), it'll be going up for EA.

Unreleased PokéSins Ep3 Scripted

This was going to say 'Scripted and Recorded', but I'm not 100% about the quality of the recording.

I've recently bought a new free-standing mic - the latest in a long line and also an incredibly high rated one - and the quality still doesn't compare to a headset mic I bought 3 years ago.

I'm beginning to get very pissed off at this because the headset is falling apart and I can't find a single microphone that can match it in quality.

Anyway. I'll see if I can...
