Last year, MasaeAnela let me know her plans to do a let's play of Okami and we thought it would be really cool to do the credits theme together so she could include it at the end of the series! Two weeks ago, I went to see the NieR Orchestra Concert and this song shattered me. I was so eager to go home and play it on guitar that I decided this should be the cover for the week! There's something that's so fun about covering these battle songs that I'll never get sick of. The back rhythms of each song translate so well to really fun and proggy riffs that are always a real treat to play. I still remember this coming out a year ago and everyone getting so hype for the game even though it was such a different sound from previous generations. I really liked how it captures the energy of its UK inspiration while still keeping the tension the gym leader battle needs. THIS IS IT! My final video of the decade! It's my follow up to Replay 2014 where I gave the project the time and quality it deserves with better songs and a bigger production. I slaved at this for weeks, pulling insane hours to put it together in time, and I'm absolutely proud of how it turned out. This could possibly be my last single song metal cover of 2019 and of the 2010`s. Next week I may not have a video as I'm planning an all out end of the decade big bang of a video for December 31st.
I love Piers a lot and think his personality and theme style would be a fitting last single song cover to cap the decade for me. I love his surface level edge but his max level bro side just beneath. I hope you guys enjoy this one!

Though I loved my playthrough of Pokémon Sword, many of the characters were kind of hard to like. That is except for Marnie! Her theme was a blast to make, definitely felt a bit more written for the guitar than my previous covers.

This song is one I received a lot of requests for, but felt it'd be weird to take on since it's so similar to Blue Skies and a Battle. I made sure that I did many of the sections differently so to keep it fresh!
I've been having a lot of fun doing these tracks and there's still many more to come, but I'm making sure to alternate so as to appease everyone who didn't play FE3H as well. Hope you're all enjoying the covers!

This is one of the coolest battle themes in the game. It's backing leads are insane and it's such a grooving song in 6/4 time. Not to mention the chorus hook is on of the best ever. The Behemoth reached out to me a few months ago about doing a cover for the the release of Castle Crashers on the Switch, but when I head they reached out to The8BitDrummer as well, we knew we had to do something together too!
