BlockBlender 1.4 video

Finally done!

I didn't expect this to take so long, because I was originally going to add the new blocks and call it a day, but then I spent a long time turning it into an addon and adding new features, so thanks for the patience and support.

I have plans for the next few videos already, and as I said in a previous post, I'm planning on making videos for my new second channel, so be on the lookout for that.

Face rig tests

I know its been a few weeks since I made a video, so here is something I've been working on.

I used the wiggle bones 2 addon to aid the animation. The eyes have a mesh deform modifier on them to make them flatter and to deform them to give expressions. The mouth is rigged only with bones and weight painting, as test to see what I can do without shape keys.

Minecraft Title Maker (early test)

Here's a geometry nodes tool I'm experimenting with.

It still needs a lot of documentation, so there aren't really directions, but if you stick to the options in the modifier panel then you can change the words and materials.

It's not as robust as the lightning strike from the tutorial I made, but this one is way easier to make, suing the shortest path nodes.

This is the last long video for beginners that I have planned for now.

I'm going to take a little break to brainstorm new video ideas, experiment, and take care of some personal stuff that I've been putting off. Hopefully after brainstorming I can regularly upload some more entertaining videos.

Getting started with Blender

It's finally done. I didn't mean for it to take so long, but I wanted to be thorough and I was also getting some character animating practice in with this one, which took a while.

Quick video update

The next video is going to be even later, whoops.

BlockBlender 1.3 Update

Sorry it has been a while. I'm working on a few beginner videos and it is taking a while, so I put together this update video really quick. I know people want new features so here it is.

Hopefully I'll be able to finish the first beginner video by next week. I'm planning on doing some character animation for it, so be on the lookout for that.

Working on the BlockBlender project and videos really wiped me out, so I'm thinking of taking a little break until next month. I feel bad about videos being not as consistent lately, so I will try to share some more project files soon of things I've been working on.

Upcoming video

I've been busy with some veterinarian appointments (my cat is doing well) and I won't be able to release this next video on time, but I wanted to share what it's about and how it's going.

It's going to be similar to the lego video except it will be using minecraft blocks, which was actually pretty hard to do. It is able to turn any 3d model or image into minecraft blocks with accurate colors.
