Okay, just sent out r0.5! New mechanic highlights:

-Knowledge traits: Non-combat related passive abilities. Essentially, characters can use applicable knowledge in certain situations to give the party an advantage.

-Boss battle skip: If you're just here for the lewds and not the battles, this'll let you skip otherwise mandatory boss battles. Activate in options menu.

-Random travel events: When you're flying out to different places, things might happen that may be good or bad!

Just to clarify, this is meant for last month's r0.4's release with the first half of Slime Colony, not this month's release! There should only be a small handful for which the above applies to. This month's release is still dated for the 18th.

Plans

Now that a lot of the setup work is out of the way, I'll try to focus more on content for next update (especially so that I can start working on those poll requested kinks.)

Next on the list is finishing up the Colony B12 event, which'll get you a certain machine to install. Also have plans to let the player invest in Colony B12, and influence what sorta buildings get built there (though this'll likely be prohibitively expensive at the moment, so might save this for down the road.)

r0.4 released!

Hey, r0.4 is finally released!

I'll make a post about what's planned/coming up tomorrow, as it's a quarter past 2 am for me. For now though, some important stuff:

-Retcon; Cruss will tell you to find someone named Arfur in Gram City, who'll give you work.

-Added a wait function on map. Press D to stand still while enemies move (surprisingly not as simple to code as you might think, due to how enemy movement works!)

Note to self for future: Any time estimates I come up with for how long it'll take me to finish things needs to be doubled at least.

I think what I will do is split up the event I'm working on into 2 parts and release just the first part this time, so that I don't end up rushing it to a conclusion. If I do that, then I should be able to get it out by tomorrow night.

Progress Update

Alright, I've gotten this system working finally. The idea is that you can use the spare rooms in your ship for things like carrying cargo, using them as guest rooms, installing (lewd) machines in them to use with crewmates, keeping prisoners, etc.

You'll also be able to upgrade your ship, which'll give you more rooms to play with, and also unlock further areas (at least it will when I make said areas...

Rainy Skies 0.3.1

r0.3 released

Hey, just sent out r0.3 to December pledgers. Will follow up with poll stuff soon.

This goes up to the end of the gang hideout event, it's advised to save after triggering it, as there's numerous ways to clear that event, but once it's cleared, you can't go back inside it.

As mentioned, I went back and revised the story. The most important changes is that Mable is only in stasis for 1.5 months, and that Triss's ship is serviceable.

Still hacking away at the gang hideout event. Most of the routes through it are done now. Just one more, plus variations based on certain factors. No screens this time, since it's still basically the same area.

Also went back through and fixed up story inconsistencies, so it might be a good idea to start it over to get the revised version.

Fee changes not happening!

Looks like patreon decided to reverse the decision on putting the fees on pledgers! Which means nothing changes, you won't need to pay processing fees with your pledges, everything is exactly as it was before.

(Still crossing my fingers for charge upfront to come though *sigh*)

Hey everyone, as you might've noticed, Patreon's planning to change the way pledges work on December 18. Now pledgers are charged a service fee of 35 cents, plus an additional 2.9% of your pledge amount. Specifically for $1 pledgers, this jumps you up to $1.38, so please be aware of that. For $5 and up, it's less significant of a jump, but still something to take note of.

Mostly been doing a lot of art and writing for working at brothel. Should be starting on the gang hideout shortly.

Some people are also still being charged late by patreon (and therefore being missed in emails.) I think I'll try pushing back the monthly release date to the 18th (instead of the 15th), and see if that helps.

Piecing the game together bit by bit. Probably won't have a whole lot to say about it till the demo's out.
