During the next few hours, while watching the challenges, me and Tacita play a game.
Sitting on the chimney, she doesn't move from the spot and instead her barrier, skill, trait, or whatever it is, keeps changing. She does it in quick succession after examining the way I detect her.

My Avatar does what I thought he would do against a lot of opponents he wouldn't be able to face head-on.
He just flies high up.
Yup, it's that simple, yet it still gives him a huge advantage.
It's as if you introduce a helicopter with machine guns and a bomb or two to the conflict against a bunch of people with rifles. And it isn't pretty.
Out of range, the people below struggle to detect him and only some of them reach that far, warning others of the upcoming attack....

Sitting on the roof, I observe the group of poor guys who thought it was a good idea to challenge Lily's avatar.

In the next few hours, there are three more challenges.
One of them is against little Isabella. A group of people from all three difficulties, around 60 people in total, most of them from Hard.
They enter expecting to win against the kid, but get welcomed by unrestricted Isabella.

The living room was too small, so all of us are outside in the garden. It's quite nice. Vibrant green grass, a nice breeze, pretty trees nearby, and around are several tables with snacks.

Unlike the 1st event, we could bring our items to this one. For me, it was a voidsteel blade, the damaged arcane axe, and some smaller ones. The axe's performance can't compare to the glove Savant used, and I'm jealous.
Savant was restricted and, in my opinion, had pathetic mana reserves. Yet the glove still did such impressive damage. That's why I rushed to put it on. If I got the glove instead of him, I'm sure I would’ve torn apart everyone during that event.

Welcome to the 2nd event, the Siege of the Aether Keep. You now have 5 hours for preparations. Cooperation with other participants and natives is preferred, and doing otherwise will lead to a deduction in points.
After 5 hours, the attack will start. The attack itself will take 5 hours with gradually increasing difficulty.
The longer you defend, the better your rewards will be.

[Perception] powered by black mana isn't that special, or at least not at my skill level. Unlike [Focus], I'm not that good at using that skill, so black mana makes it, well, perceive better. I still prefer my eye trait, but it's not terrible and could be used to improve my detection.
I'm sure I would be able to locate Tacita even now and quite easily, but it's somewhat hard to control. I have died three times before getting some actual results.

At this point, most of the black mana is used to strengthen my body, something I can do the most reliably with the [Restriction] placed. Something I did against the Veil Guardian when I so dumbly challenged him for the 1st time.
With my eyes activated and black mana strengthening and pummeling my body, I jump from building to building, being prepared in the case Tacita attacks me.

I have been thinking about it lately, and my build is a big mess, to say it gently. Sure, I have a lot of skills, but no matter how hard I try to master them all, it's impossible, and not often does each of the skills shine. They are all pretty situational and often countered by stronger or more skilled opponents.
Sure, I'm extremely versatile, and I can switch the way I fight, but at least to me, it feels lacking. Currently, I would say I'm at my strongest against many weaker opponents...

Out of every member of Hell difficulty or person that got into Beyond, there is one I have more respect for than for others. You can call it worry because of the sheer advantage that person holds over me.

Well, it seems that my buddy BenDover over here got to the 5th floor finally. He probably just started it so our statuses should be similar, maybe him having a slight advantage because of the rewards that he got at the 5th floor for clearing the 4th.
But even then I can't imagine myself losing. He doesn't even seem to detect the presence of my anchors.
I'm long since used to my opponents disrupting them or detecting them and that makes me wonder if it's not as common as I thought....
