“Finding the Thread”

I'm really looking forward to Silksong 🙂 I wonder how much different it will feel to play with Hornet, and what the story will be like.

Usually, everyone asks for Hornet many times, but sometimes I'll draw other characters as well from Hollow Knight, I promise. 😄

It felt great somehow to work with such colours and lighting.

"Larsel"

He's one of my rarely drawn characters, and because of that, he doesn't have a definite design yet, but I'm making progress. 🙂 Right now I couldn't really decide whether he should have horns or ears, or both. But since I wanted him to listen to music, he just got some cute ears. 😄

I'm really fond of drawing dragons, and I often imagine them like this if they lived in the human world (with a bit of sci-fi touch, of course). I still have another dragon with a similar ...

Stuck in the Past

Here's a picture to somewhat ease the pain of the delayed page :)

I had a concept in my head with Nigel where he's showing his back to the camera, looking at something in the distance while he's thinking things like "What would have been if...?" This is a dangerous question because people tend to get stuck in the past because of it, but he should be exactly that kind of character. Will he ever be able to climb out of the hole he dug himself into?

Sorry guys, no Tree of Life page today...

Sadly, because of a rude, uninvited migraine, I don't think I'll be able to finish today's page.  I usually have fewer headaches than I did one or two years ago, but last night was crazy, and I couldn't sleep at all. I'm really sorry, and I hope everything will go as it should from tomorrow.

Here it is guys, this month's vote winner :) It was a very close call among a few sketches at the beginning, but this shark lady took the lead, and never looked back :) This will be such a cute and relaxing picture to work on ^^ You can expect the usual progression stream, pictures, and videos soon :)

Looking at this page, I realised how inconsistently I use sound effects in my comics. But I really don't have any rules for them. I use them when I see fit. This time I concentrated on something else. I tried to use the lights and some effects to show movement, and I think it turned out really well. I guess that's why I didn't feel the need for soundeffects :)

"Summer Snack"

I had a sudden urge to draw a cute pinup :) I tried to come up with a design for an aquatic lady, and it was so relaxing ^^ By the way, after that recent sketch with Zaphira and Shen, I kinda had the urge to focus more on feet again, or just give them some more interesting poses, and it was so much fun ^^

And here it is, the finished vote winner :)

The original sketch had a very basic, rectangle background with some plants, but I decided to scrap it because I think the picture looks better without it. I think the very dark background gives a lot to the mood and the lights :) I really love drawing lights glowing in the dark ^^ And the Ensafir race is especially good for this :D

So Pik wanted to see a picture of Shen and Zaphira where their roles are reversed, so Shen is the ruler, and Zaphira is the slave. I really liked this suggestion, because I can totally imagine this being one of Zaphira's fantasies :)

Somehow, Tristan and his chickens are a very recurring theme nowadays :D And I know the last one got pretty long, but I wanted to talk about my gaming past for a while now, and I really wanted to mention everything that was worth mentioning. Talking about this topic with comics would have been incredibly long, so I just went with a ton of text... ^^;
