Must Get Aspirin

I know it's been quite the week for fans and not so fans of Channel Awesome. A good vacation is in store for everyone I believe! Regardless, I send out much love to my great friends Allison, Phelan, Lindsay, Ed, and Andrew. I don't know why I'm saying that as if I'm never going to see them again, I was just hanging out with Ed and Allison the other day, and we're still planning on doing videos together! I don't think I'm alone in wishing all of them all the good fortune in the world, and obv...

The One Where I'm Tired and Writing a Blog

Ahhhh! So freakin tired. I went to bed very late last night, between recording the Midnight Screenings, and then coming home and watching the Paddington and Wedding Ringer reviews. Then a handful of episodes of "Friends." They've put Friends up on Netflix, so you know what that means? That means I'm binge watching a lot of Friends. I don't care how popular it is now days to not like this show or to say that it doesn't hold up, I still love this show, and to me, it still holds up. Why the ...

Update for Patrons

Hey guys, 2nd update in 1 day. Just wanted to let you all know that we'll be shooting a Brad Tries as well as a Snobcast this week, both of which will be exclusive for Patreon members. Plus, I'll be seeing Ryan tonight and we'll be going over when to set up the Skype chat this month, as well as the voicemail recordings. Dave is almost done with the artwork too. We'll be letting you know when we've got the specific dates lined up; obviously they'll be within a month of when you signed up.

Zombie

Yesterday was a very very interesting day of editing. At some point during the night, the heat went out at my place. The furnace was technically still "working" as in it was making noise and putting out air...it was just cold air. So, I bundled up with a bunch of blankets, slept in my hoodie, and woke up freezing as shit. No matter how high up I set the thermostat, the temperature in the house wouldn't rise about 43 degrees Fahrenheit. Now, that's technically warmer than outside, I guess. ...

Happy New Years Eve!

Hope everyone has a safe New Years tonight. I'll be meeting up with my dad and some family at about 4:30 or so, and then heading downtown around 9 to meet up with friends, have drinks, and ring in the new year. Normally I'm not much up for going to the bars on huge drinking nights like this, because, well, it's freakin packed, and I'm the type of guy who enjoys going out to bars with friends when the bar is dead. But last year I spent my new years eve on a train heading to Washington DC for M...

A Happier Entry

Now for a lighter entry than I did yesterday lol. For all the Patreon members out there, once the new year hits and the holidays settle down, Ryan and I will be sitting down to plan out on the calendar when to schedule the skype chats with the $100 supporters, and also when to record the voice messages. Dave is very hard at work and almost done with the t-shirt and poster designs, I retweeted some shots of it on twitter within the past week, and you can check them out over on his twitter page ...

Good Fucking Lord

I'm going to have to be really careful with my words here, because Lord knows I don't need a bigger headache than the one that I've already got, but at this point I really don't give a shit. So I was out late last night watching two movies, one of them very funny, the other one awful, then this morning I wake up to find a couple of messages in my inbox that's about a topic that I seem to get every few months. Look, there's no love lost between me and one other "colleague" in this whole video m...

Peaky Blinders

Crap, a downside of working from home all the time is that if you're at home and doing nothing but watching tv and surfing the web, it sort of feels like going to work and then doing nothing. As you can see by the high rate of stuff I put on the site, I'm kind of a workaholic, so it's taking all my might not to work on anything major until the 1st of the year. Of course that doesn't count vlogs and things like that, I love doing those even when I'm on vacation. There's 5 new movies out in the...

Shit it's Tuesday

I'm writing this slowly but surely. I'm trying very very hard to get back to work, but my mind is...not so good. Hopefully later today I can get something shot to get my head back into the swing of things, but it seems to be quite a slow process. Saturday night was a very very long night. It was a fun night though, but that may be the problem. Between a lot of beer, a lot of shots, and a lot of mix drinks, a few of us ended up going a solid 12+ hours before passing out. This means that I s...

First Blog Entry

Mid-week Midnight Screenings totally always throw me off. Normally the pre-screenings we go to are on Thursday nights, but when there's a mid-week release (say, for instance, The Hobbit which was on Tuesday night, or some of the summer releases that premiere on Wednesdays), I always wake up the next morning thinking that it's Friday. Just today, I went to see what was premiering on On Demand, and was shocked to find out "holy shit, there's nothing new." Oh, right, because it's not Friday, i...
