we have poor stevie has been captured by a gigantic spider while on a hike and is getting used as an incubator for its eggs, and they're som big eggs - that thing isnt anywhere close to done!
that spider has to make sure it produces tons of offspring to survive, so making overwhelming amounts of eggs is its best bet to ensure as many of them hatch, and an even better way to make sure they all gestate? putting them in a host ofc!
