Slowly but surely the LVC cutaway map/diagram is coming along. The linework for the hard surface components are done, now on to color, shade and paint.

Welcome to those of you who have recently joined! Work is steadily progressing on the design for the Lower Visitor Center!
This is an important location within the Mystery Flesh Pit universe, and I hope that the care and detail I am investing into it will reflect that. Ultimately, my plan with the LVC is to illustrate a large cutaway drawing in the style of Stephen Biesty or Hans Jenssen that you might find posted on a "You are here" info kiosk sign.
Once this piece of artwork...
I started sketching out some of the park ranger/park staff variants found within the Mystery Flesh Pit, so I thought I'd post the rough sketches here.
From top left: Park Ranger, Interpretive/Guest Relations, Off-Trail Guide
From lower left: Mechanic/Technician, Trail Builder/Engineer, Wildlife Safety, Medical Tech.
Have a safe and happy 4th of July!
I'm still dialing in the overall anatomy for some of the creatures that live deep within the flesh pit, but this technique I'm trying out of "creature kitbash" seems to yield some cool results.

I thought you guys might appreciate this test I put together while learning some new techniques. The lighting and structure is still evolving, but I was happy with this as a test of how I might try and do some future material.

Unfortunately there is a delay on recent T-Shirt orders made through the online Mystery Flesh Pit Giftshop. Your orders are being produced, the shirts are on the way, but the company manufacturing them has been forced to reduce their production capacity volume due to COVID-19.
As far as I know, stickers, posters and other print goods are still shipping out on a somewhat nominal schedule and should not see major delays.
Thank you all for understanding!

A few weeks ago I drew up this sub vehicle, imagining it would be used somewhere within fluid-filled areas of the flesh pit. I gave it a glass cockpit at the front, lots of reinforcement, a few "bays" for equipment or possibly cargo transport, as well as a sort of medical livery.
It still needs a lot of work and will probably turn into some other kind of vehicle before it becomes an "Official" post, but I thought I'd upload this study sketch here anyway for you guys to check out.&...

I thought I'd start posting more WIP stuff here for the patrons, so here's a few study sketches for the lower visitor center. Some core features that are important for the visual language of all man-made structures within the pit are explored here, namely the blocky, geometric forms combined with space-age structural expression. A lot of cues are taken from films like Silent Running, Total Recall, Outland and the abyss for the design philosophy.
The lower visitor ...
