The choice is made. There will be a stream on Feb 4th to kick off a short themed to 'sacrifice'. Same pattern; less than 20 hours of animating to get the point across so as not to take away too much from MC11. Should take 3-4 streams.

That said, I got a couple vague themes I could work with for a short and heck, lets use this here poll to hear what you guys are thinking on the matter. These streams will occur during February.
Thought i'd ask, do you guys prefer the initial for the last name, or is it better to write the whole name?

1 big cartoon is ridiculous. I've resolved to see about banging out short cartoons along the way because letting ideas die in sketchbooks is a crime and I'm no crime-inal. I'll be streaming work on these short cartoons when I can, right there on the MDKrinkels youtube channel.
It just occured to me that all this time, pushing frames on madness11, and having little else to show for it (i mean, it's a side project, but STILL) I know I can do better.
The whole of the cartoon moves along. Not much to report other than it moves, and moves well. 2018 is going to be one hell of a year.
what ARE frames, even? What's the measure of progress in a cartoon like this? I could pad out hundreds, even thousands of frames of drawn out dialog, and I probably should at some point, but right now it's just a chain of violence.
I can't even count the number of rewrites I've gone through as I stitched frames together moving forward, but hopefully where I land will be decent. As I make all this sluggish progress I start thinking that a 2018 release is very do-able. I'm...
The lack of simplicity in some of these scenes is killing me, and giving me perspective on what is important. Namely, the killing. A bunch of fun nonsense is a great way to put a fun slant on the ongoing mayhem, but at the end of the day it's all about the volume of violence. I appreciate your patience with me as I move forward on this, here's some of the damage going on.

Scene after scene, kill after kill. Some scene transitions are cooler than others, and then some days all I do is go back and add shell casings to all the shooting.

I've reached 5250 frames of animation on this. I'm a little surprised at the pace I am keeping up but stacking up bodies like boards comes naturally in Flash. Some unconventional backgrounds are going to slow me down in the future but I'm always moving in a part time manner. I appreciate your patience, this will hopefully be a lot of fun.

Here look, an image of an agent being shot in the face. There's a lot of that going on here in MC11, as it turns out. A lot of people being shot, a lot of weird things going on really, but mostly just shooting and violence. Progress is slow, still, but some times it moves faster, and considering the density, 4850 frames ain't terrible right yet.
Hey there guys, another year has marched along, and what a year it has been! If you've been following my progress on Madness: Project Nexus 2 you've seen that we've starting to squeeze storymode into the game, and the feedback from people like YOU has been helping us immeasurably! We're seriously looking at an Q1 2018 release for this beast. At least, we think we can swing that.
Madness Combat 11 though! It's been moving along, at a soft trundle of about 10 hours of work on it a wee...

I'm clipping along faster and faster. While it's not the full gallop I'd like (and won't be, so long as M:PN2 remains my primary focus) the amount of time I am devoting to this cartoon is squeezing into the many chronological nooks and crannies of my day.
Many frames down, many more to go.

I don't even know why I try to 'write' madness combat episodes when I am not animating them. I find that no matter how much I think up plot points and write them down, I wind up deviating wildly when I am in flash. I suppose they give me a 'launching point' from which to work off of, some junk ideas just floating around in my head that can be smushed together like clay or outright bashed into shards and re-arranged into more pleasing shapes.

I ask because during mc11, there will potentially be a LOT of this, and I am starting to look at ways to cut corners to prevent me from working on it forever. I hate that I can't do this full time, I am only one man. Just a thought for tonight as I animate hank getting beat up.

Look, a thing that is used to make people go from one scene to the next. I feel like I should re-use this one frequently instead of drawing a brand new set of a zillion keyframes every time this happens. We'll see.
