Hi again! I fell short of my goals this month, but also achieved an important milestone. The good news is I don't have c*vid, but definitely caught something. Next month I will get the first chapter of CwG finished (and more!).

But for now, you have to be nice to be as I post some pencil sketches.

Big news. I've talked to Kit Wallis, and I'm going to take over the main storyline for my next comic, CAT WITH GUN. He is valiantly working a lot of different freelance projects, and it makes sense if I hire him to do a self contained story but take on the main book.

I will be making and posting the book in a roughly linear manner from now on.

Got sick this month, but am doing my best.

I am sorry for not drawing the Shopping Sequence yet - sometimes it is easier to just Get on with the Plot first. I think I'm going to push the date for the 'Cat with Burger' videogame demo til next month and focus on showing you comic work until then.

Delightful paintings for you

I have entered into a business partnership that will represent me for selling off paintings, which is pretty exciting!

Rare origin story of Lobster Dana: some tweets made into a little comic below. This was quickly expanded into 'illicit substance which turns you into a lobster' concept. I am challenging myself to actually include this in the graphic novel somehow.

Videogame !!! (surprise) cat with gun !!!

I held off on posting cat with gun videogame until now, because I wanted to really learn what I was doing first. I have spent around a year learning unity, and have been very graciously helped by Schwer, a programmer who made a core mechanic for the game (cooking) and helped with the saving systems.

I will refine stuff a bit more before releasing a build, but here is a partial list of things you can do so far.

I am not sure ethically how I would feel about including the work of the artist I am collaborating with on this graphic novel, so just sticking to my own concept work and thumbs for now. Including incredibly rough character lineups.

starting thumbnailing the book in media res / starting with the 20 page 'pitch packet' was probably the best decision I could have made, I'm getting into a good rhythm finally.

CWG process zine

Trying to collect and lay out some pages nicely since i'd like to print this at some point. Feeling self conscious about putting out 'commentary' on my work, but I wanted to be more thorough about showing my process here for you. I hope you like it.

I'm still working with the artist Kit Wallis on the actual book, so it's nice to have a space set aside to compile my concept work. Aiming to have the 'pitch packet' done and the whole book fully thumbnailed by the end of the year.

Music video![surprise] pt 1

I've been getting faster with them. This project is way more compact than the last one I did ('someday' by ada rook). This is a surprise so please keep this one hush hush, the musician [blackwinterwells] hasn't seen it yet!

Painting process! 'change of heart'

It's been a little while since I did a painting break down, so I took a little time so do a nice illustration (based on a friend's favorite Yu Gi Oh card).

This month I will have a new small music video for you fully finished. It's for a friend's birthday though, so you will have to keep it secret with me.

Attached is the photoshop (PSD) file, but also a full resolution copy of the painting in case you're interested. They're large files though(!).
