... there’s a boom in the sexting industry, which is difficult.
There’s some very specific rules that sexting needs to comply with, which is not particularly good for people who aren’t comfortable expressing intimate feelings ie. everyone in England, all Protestants, most Catholics, many men, some women and a proportion of non-binary people.
So I have a list of tips for people who ...

Two parter crossover with The Man-Mum Podcast. Second part on Henry's feed here: https://feed.podbean.com/henrylfraser/feed.xml
This was recorded in the early days of the coronavirus, but we don't talk about it. So if you want some content that isn't to do with the burgeoning collapse of stuff, this is it.
We talk about free expression and why Henry doesn'...

I’ll figure out the melody and more punchlines later, maybe. But here’s a very first rough/improv idea that might be the beginning of a series of “Songs To Wash Your Hands To”
This is in answer to the people who asked for more “behind the curtain” process stuff.
For full behind the curtain, I picked up my banjo as a break from/procrastination away from urgently writing jokes for The Last Post recording that’s in about three hours.
For those of you ...

Hallo friends! I have landed, had a shower, had half a glass of the deliciously home-tasting Sydney tap-water - I feel strongly I could pick Sydney tap-water out in a blind taste test.
Yes. I’m back in Australia for the next few weeks (months? Years?). Given that I won’t be doing any live work, I brought my lighting rig and tripod so I can do lot of online things. But not today. Today is for staring vaguely into the middle distance.
This is a picture of the place I’m quara...

This is hardly a surprise, by now. But if you had tickets to come or planned to buy some, I’m sorry.
Currently figuring out things I can do from home (and am open to suggestions), starting with doing a livestream and running my solo show, or a chat show (or a show of some kind) in the time slots I had scheduled for the festivals. Tossing up between twitch, instagram live, YouTube and others for that.
Obviously Savage will be coming out on Amaz...

So, today I have 6x eps of the last post and one Bugle to record. Also, I’m meant to be previewing my new show Chronos at the Glasgow Comedy festival. So of course I woke up this morning to find out that Melbourne has been cancelled.
I have no idea what I’m supposed to do. I just chatted with Laura Davis on video chat. She’s distraught, in Perth (the worst). What are all the artists going to do? All my friends and colleagues and enemies?
Do I fly back to Australia? Do I go...

Hallo! I have been thinking about how frustrating AMAs are for me a little bit - when I’ve done them on Instagram I find myself stumped by a lot of the questions. It’s not the fault of the people asking questions so much as I think it’s a choice paralysis thing.
The problem
When presented with the option of asking any question people ask things like “what’s your favourite song” or “what’s your favourite book”, neither of which I have go...

Alice's twin, Dr Henry Fraser in the first of a two part crossover episode with his podcast The Man Mum Podcast. Listen to the first half here, go download the second half on his feed where it starts to get messy.
In this episode we talk about censorship and the structure of conversation and have some interesting disagreements. I love having Henry on, and I hope you enjoy listening to the episode as much as I enjoyed recording it. I particularly enjoyed his end, where you ge...

Doing a fancy showcase tonight after a couple of months off doing regular short Standup sets. It’ll be an 8 minute set.
I am the opposite of match fit and I can’t remember what’s good about me as an act. You know my stuff, i assume.
What jokes do I tell that you like? Not songs - I’ll likely do the sexy feminist song to close, but it’s TV bookers so I don’t want to come across as “the musical act” by having the 8 minute set be dominated by songs.

I’m down this week paying the tax on “having a body” and haven’t been able to do much more than sleep and try to keep down water. Won’t be coming out with a tea with alice this week. All apologies. The Last Post is still coming out daily, because it’s recorded in an alternate universe, which is handy if you’re missing my voice in your ears. Should be back in order by Sunday and back on the wagon.

Hallo! Currently muddling through figuring out the balance of my work for the year - The Last Post is well and truly launched, and I’m figuring out the balance of fiction, fact, satire, structure, long form news arcs, guests, tone, rhythm and pace... it’s a fascinating enterprise and I love the pressure to deliver an enormous amount of content. HAPPY NEW YEAR! This week's episode is with Kate Smurthwaite, comedian, writer and political activist, who, in her most recent show blurb describes herself as "best known as 'that feminazi bitch off the telly'". But nonetheless it is indeed my birthday - I’m going to bed and can’t quite get to sleep. Have spoken to various loved ones around the world and it’s past midnight in the U.K., so undeniably birthday. Hallo! I’m recovering from being infuriatingly sick for weeks! Which means I’m awake and feeling borderline human and can think without coughing (!) and am basically more than just sweaty automaton. I have enough juice in the tank to make words in a row!

So what next? Sure we’re embarking a decade of numbers-unprecedented-in-history migrating across borders due to both political and actual climate events. Sure North Kor...

Here are some disorganised ramblings about talking and beauty.
Yesterday, I spent a lot of time talking. Both Monday and Tuesday, in fact, were hugely talk-focussed. Was in the Somethin' Else studios recording a new Audible Original Documentary (on Work Life Balance, coming out some time in 2020).
Also, I found out today that our Habit Change doco was one of the most downloaded things on the app last year, which is an utter delight.

I see activist movements being built in this way (relatively) effectively with my very activist, very Christian friend and repeat teacast guest Jarrod McKenna, but it’s such an undeniable phenomenon that people prefer working like-to-like.
I guess the Christian thing is enough of a com...

Do I open this chronologically or by stating the inciting incident - which is that I just woke up from a nightmare? I feel discombobulated and detached from reality. I’ll contextualise first, why not?
