Chapter 22

Wanted this to be funnier than it was.

This chapter is kind of proof that the arc got more serious than I wanted to. Over like 16 chapters I found very little that was worth adding in that was more funny than impactful.

I'm so excited about next arc, I get another chance to get it right and do the middle ground I'm looking for.

CH 20- The Dungeon's Final Form: No Escape

This chapter was fun to write, but fight scenes really drain me. Originally I had intended to have CH 20 done on Sunday and have it wrap up the entire arc, but I kind of ended up at like 4K with just dungeon.

What to do about Next Week

It does appear like CH 21 will be the last chapter of Wave, not CH 20, so my week off will be the week after next instead.

I wanted to avoid that because that's a double week, but it can't be avoided the dungeon part of CH 20 is far too long and much too serious to not do it justice.

So instead I want to ask what I should do, since I won't have enough material for 2 chapters next week.

I thought we needed a chapter of pure fluff after all that dungeon, and I like how this turned out.

Chapter 18

After the initial dungeon, we have a mostly fluff chapter with a bit of progression. Haku is confused by his new life, and Sakura isn't sure how to deal with it either.

Still finishing up Chapter 19, and I want to have Chapter 20 done Sunday.
Chapter 20 should finish up the arc. After the arc is finished I'll be taking a week off to plan the next one, normal posting sites will also see this pause albeit later, since they're behind. That way Patreon doesn't get behind. We'll see how ...

Chapter 17

Finally finished the dungeon, and found myself a bit whimsical. I like where this chapter went, but Chapter 18 is gonna be a bit of a mystery. I have the outline, sure, but there's a lot of different directions I could go from here even within Wave, and I have to decide now.

Chapter 16

This chapter was incredibly difficult for me. I have almost no recent practice writing fight scenes and my recent work schedule hasn't allowed me to write Ino so I haven't been able to get practice.

This chapter took me days to complete. In the past I would have likely abandoned the project. This dungeon would have been the end point of Sakura the Gaming Addict.

The fact that I got this done is proof I've grown as a writer, as a person, and have truly earned my self-proclamation...
