Miscellaneous Clone Hypotheticals - Oney Plays Animated

1080p 60fps is a bit of a pain to work with, even with my new computer. I only noticed the TV footage was double speed after the fact, but it looks funnier this way. It was because the original crash footage (gameplay from oneyplays) was only 30fps and I forgot to account for that, and animated textures like the TV and the way I set up the mouths can't be seen real-time in Blender as far as I know.

Unfinished meme

At the beginning of the whole story with Stefan I tried to make a video "We are number one except animated in one hour" and it ended up taking much, much longer than that to get even this far. I heard he actually beat cancer for now so I thought I might try finishing it.

It's out of order because I lined up all the scenes with the same set so I could animate them all in a row.

It was fun to make something more original and compose something. Doing polished background bits was cool too.

I'll let you in on a lil secret, I kinda forgot that I hinted at making a Moonbase Album. I finished most of Renai Circulation tonight, so as long as I'm motivated, I should get a good number of songs done by the end of the year at this pace.

I saw "Over the Garden Rock" by someone I gave some pointers to and remembered "oh yeah, this."

This took much longer to animate than the shot lasts on-screen. 

Longer intro wip

I want to extend this gag, the monitor launches a can of paint into a car, they crash into a gas tanker and it explodes leaving the street in fiery ruins, something silly like that.

Staying up super late really got me in the mood to work on this a few times.

Since rendering this I've tweaked the movement and obviously the final render is going to be higher resolution, antialiasing etc so this is pretty much the final video.

The final video

Yeah sorry, I just couldn't wring out any more motivation (and in turn creativity or quality) out of my brain to animate any more. Even just finishing up what I had done made me start to hate the whole thing, so I guess this is it. The final tweaking can take hours, but at least I get to add fun little details like Julian's feet at 0:16.

Man, hearing the same joke hundreds of times really sucks the humour out of it.
