This month for you guys I got a VFX and compositing comparison for my latest short.
This one was pretty straightforward. I kept the camera mostly locked in place and didn't use many high or low angles like I usually would. This was to give it a flat look, similar to what you'd expect in an old-school Flash animation. Everything's told from essentially a side-view perspective. Aside from the camera rig, I try to keep the setup as modest as possible, so that it can move with me anywhere I go.
Because it needs some length to shoot with longer focal lengths, it creates a lot of empty space. So I slapped together this little retro hangout area to chill in when the green screen isn't in use. Pretty dope.
