I picked up this piece I'd started working on earlier last month (?) and while it's looking better, I'm not quite happy with it yet. So I'll be finishing it up tonight starting around 7 or 8 tonight before getting back into the comm queue.
I really want to improve my painting skills so I can try more detailed work!

Thank you to Cody Vargas for coming to the cafe! His order was for portraits of his IRL bunny as both a bun-bun and a Zoot-bun and I gotta tell you guys...his IRL bun is SO CUTE! With Cas and Jasken's help, I've started to find a better process for drawing that doesn't involve me painfully tracing over my line-work and I feel SO much better drawing. We're chugging along with these commissions, guys! We've got 10 left in the queue, 2 in the oven and 5 all finished. I hit a roadblock last week with the first sheet, but I think I found my footing. I really wish I could work a little faster, or felt more confident with my line-work.

I hate drawing lineart with a burning passion. I have a ton of fun sketching, but when it's time to cleanup I will skirt around it for as long as I can. That's what I did while attempting Cas' model sheet. Draft looked good, but when it came time to "clean" it I wound up "doodling".
Luckily Jasken, CasVoiceActs rode with me as I tried a new drawing method.

Don't think I ever publicly shared feral versions of Jack and Skye before! This was a commission from Dancing Lunar Wolves on my feral take on these two - this wasn't the first time I've done this so I blazed through this commission!

We received more orders than previously anticipated - 16 orders in the kitchen - thank you so much! Having a project manager like ClickUp has helped exponentially with the admin-side of the commission process, and having Google Forms allowed me spend MUCH less time with going back and forth on what customers wanted (something that took a week for me while living in Japan).

Spent some time watching fox documentaries - because that’s the kind of dork I am - while drawing. I had no idea the red fox came in so many variations. I was trying to rediscover my sketchy style so that maybe I could open SKETCH commissions soon if anyone was interested; I’d planned on opening last month but-). Moving along slowly but surely. I’d love for the finished piece to be line-less! I’m still trying to decide if I want to add more props in the background... maybe a cooler? Some shade from a palm tree? These are the questions that keep me up at night.
