A new image of the series  60's untold . This time with the incredible Alina . Again with flashes  with 4 light boxes  attenuating  the contrasts, but without creating opposite shadows. 

Alina always offers subtil poses, full of elegance and precision. Here, I quickly placed the elements of the decor (lipstick, strings, flowers ....), after she had taken a position.

 It is enough then to specify its movement, and to seek the best framing, As I proceed...

last shooting with Rebecca ( First Part )

     It's been a wild that we didn t shoot together with Rebecca Bagnol. But it was hard to find something new; we already did so many. 

         So we decided to make it simple. Using natural light of my studio; with a big soft box on a flash. To make the contrast lower, and be abble to work under exposure. The result, as always with her, is pure and strong.I really love this kind of shooting.

           Maya is an Agency Model, who despite her large majority, still looks like a young girl. It was perfect for this illustration, which I had to make, of a young Lolita. 

           The problem  is that the brand found that too realist for customers, and that this was biased. So the photo remained in my boxes.

natural light with Alix in my studio

         Small improvised shoot this Saturday in my studio. 

        The sun is finally back, so I'm testing this warm winter light in the middle of the afternoon. I put the set  between 2 windows, so that the background also takes advantage of this lighting and detaches the model.

       It feels good, finally to let go of the flashes, and let yourself...

The dancer and the mirror

                 Linday is a professionnal dancer. I love to work with dancers, and especialy with Lindsay. When i got an idea, and i m not sure about the realisation, she' s one of the first that i  wil call. You can't make a bad picture with her, but you can make amazing sweet and strong images, just buy following her. An old mirror, a kimono, and lindsay.... picture is already made!!!

"if only" whole image

When I was making this bath series (inspired by the movie "Mademoiselle") for Normal magazine, I had chosen Caroline Madisson. Because although much of age, Caroline's baby size and face make her look childish. The normal magazine refused a large part of the images, and some cropped (including this one), because they were disturbed by this childish side. Which proves that I had achieved my goal. I will post more of these images here later. Available as a single print, as always, on request .....

Laure first shoot

   Eté 2020, j'avais une frénésie de shoots extérieur, et installé un studio en lumière naturel ( un grand tissu noir accroché à l'entrée d'un garage et quelques meubles chinés ). Laure venait du sud, et avait tout juste commencé à poser. Le potentiel m'a sauté aux yeux Une présence sauvage et naturelle frappante. Ce ne fût bien sur qu'un début.

Donc, en ces temps compliqués et froid, je retourne avec plaisir sur des basiques. Au menu travail sur lle lumière ( 4 flashs ) la composition, et surtout  la direction du modèle. ici Lucille dont c'était la première séance, c'est dire le potentiel.

Bain et reflets

Avant la série " If only " pour le magazine normal, j'ai fait plusieurs essais. donc celui ci, qui fût le plus convaincant. Même si le décors manque de précision.Avec une tentative de raccord de la série des Reflets du désordre. mais il n'y avait que 4 images. pas suffisant donc, pour une parution.....

Ayant travaillé 2 ans à la série des reflets du désordre, il fallait une époque pour situer l'action, qui au départ était indéfinie. Après plusieurs recherche et une exposition sur la peinture victorienne, j'ai décidé que la période serait la fin du 19 eme. Du coup, pour la parution du livre, j'ai dû éliminer des images que j'aimais vraiment, mais qui me semblaient non raccord, comme ces 3 là. C'était il y a 4 ans. Au barro festival en charente. Il y avait une petit île au milieu de la rivière, nous avions décidé de faire quelques images avec charline, la lumière était parfaite. les chevaux ( timides au début ), sont venus entourer charline, décidant de la protéger de mon appareil, et venant même me bousculer. moment rare, et forcément précieux.
