PORK 20

The cover of PORK 20 - an underground party! There’s a HELLSHIRE beer label that correlates to this one, I’ll see if I can find it, it’s definitely in ACID VOMIT! Anyhow, one of the funny things about the cultural/political shift & the new moralism is that I’m all about explaining myself, the new moralists aren’t about listening or understanding, that nonsense was really starting to pick up at this point, I think it was 2014 or so, by 2016 it had gone nuts, to peak in 2020 &...

PORK 19

Here’s the cover of PORK 19 - Salt vs. the happy face police. I’ve made a point about the cops in your head being a problem, especially when we’re talking about censorship being driven by non-state actors. Surface things have changed, but the song remains the same. Being anti-state isn’t such a big deal for me when HR culture has spread like a virus through the populace. It’s wild.

RIP PEE WEE

Pee Wee Herman showed me that a total weirdo could make it, he reminded me of this when it especially mattered & I’m eternally grateful. RIP

PORK 17

Here’s the cover of PORK 17 - featuring me as the gate to Pleasure Island - just like in Pinocchio it looks fun, but if you lose yourself in it, you get sold as a donkey to the salt mines! There were philosophical steps that you could take with PORK, few did, seeing only the superficial aspects of the magazine or worse, but more common, being scared off completely, losing the squares test, but if you looked there was a lot of depth, that’s what I go for with all my work: it’s superficia...

PATCHES

Here’s an ad for our patches, my whole goal was to make enough patches to make an ad similar to those Gandalf Products ads in 70s comics - except with all our stuff! Mission accomplished! And we started the patch trend again as a side effect a dozen years ago!

BRÜTTELBURG

Brüttelburg, in 8 bit for Swords, Sausages & Sorcery! I’m having tremendous fun getting these graphics together & even have been simulating some of my old drawing techniques with the mouse, really stoked on seeing where this goes!

PORK 15

Here’s the cover of PORK 15, Dirty Donny interviewed Skinner for this issue & the interview really caused me to change up some of the ways I was doing things - this was directly influential on the cover which was the result of me realizing I could draw whatever I wanted to & not continue in the self-made Weirdo Art rut I was in. I started to go as straight fantasy as I’m capable of! (Not that straight apparently, my stuff is always off, like me!)

THE ÜNTERSTADT

The Ünterstadt of Brüttelburg, a dark, crammed, filthy place where anything that isn’t nailed down gets stolen! Still in the works! I need to add a lot more!

PORK 14

PORK 14, the first issue after we moved to Portland. One of the things I’ve learned in our boring dystopia is that the art direction & ideas presented in film for the future makes it look a lot better, because in reality it doesn’t look so great. I guess that’s a call for good art direction & cultural control! Either way, Mount Hood beckons!

BLACK LIGHT POSTERS

I finally got blacklight posters of my work done! They’re being produced & sold by BLKRNBW. Each of the prints (Doom March & Jabberwock) are 25” x 18” printed on hundred pound French paper, are UV light responsive & $35 a pop. Gittum!

THE TEMPLE OF MADNESS

PORK 13

The cover of PORK 13 - by this time the PORK reader lifestyle was fully established & the whole thing was a thing! Seems like a long time ago, but that’s what I tell myself whenever I’m doing a new project - time always progresses & things become history, even if people act like it doesn’t!

THE GOBLIN‘S RULES OF THE GAME

Debuting today! The Goblin’s Rules of the Game started as a bit of column filler but it was soon apparent that it was a more important piece of writing as it accompanied him post-death on his hospital door in poster form. The idea is that Life Is a Game, but it’s a different game for each person & you have to figure out the story, missions & characters yourself. It is liberatory because it tells you to watch out for & be conscious of other people’s games. This zine comes wit...

THE NOW SOUND

The AI has the idea right, the early round of synthesizers were magical noise machines, sure there’s science & technology at the base, but the sounds were/are magical. Messing about with them when I was little was a magical exploration that has been unparalleled since, but AI art feels similar, it’s just too specific & doesn’t have any knobs or buttons to push, but an analog input system would be amazing!

STOP LIVING ON VIDEO!

I know a bunch about synthesizers on account of being raised around them by Phil Aaberg , but I made these for my brother Michael.

PORK 11

Here’s the cover of PORK 11 - Dungeon baseball, I had fun with the crowd, also if you notice the Weirdo at bat is using an Ugly Bat. The O in PORK was the eyeball being knocked out of the park, I remember hesitating on using the eye because of Mishka, but everyone has eyes, & we weren’t using it as our logo!

SWORDS, SAUSAGES & SORCERY

So we’re working on the first Dungeon Degenerates video game, & I came up with the first graphic treatment. I was originally going for a 16 bit style, but my coloring lends itself to 8 bit.
