This feature on Shoshona Zuboff's theory of Surveillance Capitalism breaks down what's going down pretty well & had me admiring the Amish again. I'm remembering an old Cometbus talking about not using an ID living like that in the earl 90s, seems nuts to me nowadays. Again, let's separate the critique of Capitalism from the core reality of Surveillance Capitalism because it's fully happening in Communist China as well.
