This is my first release of a 360° video rendered in 8192x8192 resolution used for down-sampling. Besides putting the logo too near to the camera (who looks at the logo anyway), I'm very happy with the result, no aliasing at the edges nor a pixel structure visible for nearby objects! It couldn't be helped for the far away stuff on standard view due to HMD display resolution, but with the zoom, even that stuff is good recognizable.

The first one regards the codec used for encoding the videos. The new videos will all be encoded with HEVC to get a better video quality. This was necessary to make higher quality videos, it halve the bitrate without losing quality compared to the older codec h.264.

Making a perfect 360° 3D video with SFM just needs way too much time, but I didn't want to miss a sharp and clear image over the whole 180° field of view. So I did some math and got the camera settings used to make this video. It only needs 3 times as long compared to rendering the animation for sfmvr_stich due to more frames needed, additionally blender renders and other video conversions.

Making 3D VR videos with sfmvr_stitch is really nice, because it's fast and it only needs 2 renders. On the other side, the negative parts are the field of view limit to 175° and the pixelated area above 135° fov. That's why a method to make 360° 3D videos with SFM was needed!

Here is the first version of the new Mirror Club Sex & Dance video with the dance animation and sound from the MC7D video. I'll adjust some details like the background dancer positions in upcoming versions with other models or proportions. Since the dance animation is not a perfect loop there is a fade in and out to get a smother repeating. To make a perfect loop out of this dance animation is possible, but takes lots of effort and time, I'll have to try it out on an animation with one model...
