This is going to be a special situation this month. My schedule is currently up in the air, as I'll be spending time with family through the rest of the month and won't be able to set the specific time aside to take my normal stream commissions. Because of that, I won't be taking commissions this month. Instead, I'm going to ask you guys to send in sketch ideas, and if I can find a window to get some drawing done, I'll try to do a few.

I'll be taking a vacation next month, so I'm letting you guys know that there will be very few commission slots up for grabs. If you want to drop down a pledge level or are considering bumping up to the $10 level, please keep that in mind.

commissions opening

The early commissions are opening for $10 pledgers. Include the password "stooks" in the e-mail subject line when requesting a commission.

It still remains to be seen how quickly the openings left in january will go, so I'll wait a few days before I go through them and select the lucky few.

New commission rules

This is just a pre-warmer before I open commissions, so you guys can all get up to speed before that happens.

With commissions only being taken up to the following month, the limit of slots per person at a time is going back down to 2 in order to keep the queue from becoming overly monopolized.

The trade off for this is that if your picture is unfinished, you'll be able to immediately reserve the next month's slots when the slots you had get done.

Stream dump and suggestion box winner

The results of the suggestion box experiment are in, and I have to say it was overall really nice. I got a ton of suggestions to pick from, and the variety was also really good. I was a little worried people would only go for the really obvious or pandering stuff, but there were a lot of people who strayed off the beaten path and that's what I like. That said, there were definitely some recurring themes in the suggestions which played into my decision. The winning suggestion was in fact also one...
