The women and their leader, the Princess had LONG controlled the drug trade coming from the local waterways. They cowed the local police, the federal army, and the judges and prosecutors. Their power was so absolute, at first when the overeducated trust fund guys started trying to get in on the trade, they found it vaguely amusing. But, after enough gentle warnings, it was clear the arrogant young men were just not getting the hint. An example was to be made. SHE demanded it.

The female supers were doing well enough with the males but they had another mission. Their typical female proteges were developing better and better tactics at taking down the males by exploiting the fact they viewed the typicals as weaker and less capable. When the males tried foolishly to toy with them they moved in for the kill. 

One more male super who's fate is definitely not in his own hands.
