I tried a more simple cell shaded look on this one, close to Pokemon art style!
Treat it as a preparation for Pokemon artwork next month when the new game launches hahaha xD
To be honest, working with this style is pretty simple and fun! It's more like coloring comics rather than painting :D
If you like the final result, I might pursue to continue with this style ... Tho I'll have to find some way to increase the le...

Calliope Mori is now in rough color stage!!

After I tried a new workflow that ended up not working as intended on earlier Hu Tao artwork, I reflect on it and apply it again on previous Dark Willow artwork.
I think it worked pretty well on Dark Willow, so I'm replicating it once again on Calli!
There are some parts that I can improve, but I'm slowly getting the grasp of it OwO
I wish I can quickly find the optimal workflow so I can be efficient and deli...

Sure there are shadows, but they're pretty light so I feel like she shapes are not emphazised well ...

I just watched the "True Sight" documentary of the last DOTA 2 The International tournament and it surely brought a new perspective to enjoy the competitive scene of DOTA 2. One thing I noticed is that Dark Willow have a pretty high pick rate! It's always cool to see when a character with lovely design is also viable in tournaments ~
