In the past weeks I have been testing a new development process which I plan to use going forward. The main benefit is the automation of the process of releasing new versions which currently is a manual process for me (and for every user). A change that will come with this is that I will be moving from the current MSI installer to a new MSIX installer package. One of the main reasons for this is that automatic updates for the application itself is a lot easier to realise.

This update has a few minor issues fixed but is basically marking the application as version 1.0 and removing the preview tags.
Note: I won’t show the update notice in the latest preview yet since you don’t have to upgrade right away, there are also no required changes to content files.
You can install the new version when you want to.

Four new subclasses for you to try out: the Path of the Beast for the barbarian, the Way of Mercy for the monk, the Oath of the Watchers for the paladin, and the Noble Genie for the warlock.
The Deep Magic series from Kobold Press has been added to the third-party index. This content includes ~30 archetypes, ~30 feats, ~400 spells, and more.

With the new release you can use the Alt + B shortcut in the character builder to show a new panel in the Additional Content tab.
This will allow you to add the index files from the main respository and community driven content with 1 click. (or pick one from the selection box under the url textbox)
There is no button available yet for the new D&D Wiki index but you can select it from the selection box. The next update will include that button.

With the release of preview v1.19.1216 a number of changes have been made, issues have been fixed, and new features have been implemented. This is the last public preview version before Aurora v1.0 will be released.

A quick view at some changes:
- The backgrounds selection will show a column with proficiencies, tools, languages you will get.
- Items from the inventory can be stored in one of the two storage locations, up to 10 of the stored items are shown separate from the inventory on the equipment page. You can name the storage location yourself and the weight of the items will be excluded from your carried weight.

The equipment page will split you inventory in 3 sections, adventuring gear (including mundane weapons and armor), magic items, and valuables (gems, art objects).
Some new additions will be blessings, boons, and charms that will be listed in the magic item section and a bulk of valuables will be included (think of gems, art objects from treasure tables in DMG).

I'll be releasing an update for the builder next week. If you're just using the builder and the content from the repository you can just update the builder and the additional files and you should be good to go.

Here's a screenshot of the new dark theme i've been working on along side character sheet changes.
Also, the a new 'sources' section allows for excluding sources such as third-party content and playtest material such as unearthed arcana on a character basis. This will reduce content in the selection pickers when you're not using certain sources so you can focus on what you want (or what your DM told you you could use).

Here is a little screenshot peek at the upcoming equipment section.
It will have your favorite weapons, armor, gear, magic items, potion, poisons, etc from the various sources.
You will be able to equip all items as you see fit, there will not be just one slot for the neck for example. Two necklaces, a cloak, and a insignia or a brooch, is all possible.

When you enter '@bundle core' it will download the core index from https://github.com/aurorabuilder/elements and import all the files from the core elements. Note: commands have to start with @.
