After the first sketch, I saved another stage after I refined the pose a little and quickly sketched the background and clothes. It was really and easy for me, but the difference between these stages looks just huge :0

The commissioner gave me complete freedom in costume design for the tribal snow witch. I absolutely adore the tribal theme, so I was really happy to work on it! I'm even thinking of creating a my own character from some tribe so that I can draw on this topic much more often.

I could add a lot more details, fix many small mistakes and make it look more realistic, but, well, the final stages of the work are the most difficult and tedious for me. So let's just say it's done now! :D
Actually, guys, it's getting harder and harder for me to finish illustrations. It seems to me perfectionism used to make me work very hard, it was a good boost to my drawing skills, but now it's pulling me back. Whenever I take on a new illustration, the work ahead seems so endless ...

Drawing different materials of the same color is such an interesting task! This shows very well how differently they reflect light
Really love how expressive a one-color outfit may look if it have a good combination of some different materials

This work process was a little strange. I didn't get to work with the details for a while because I wasn't content with the lighting and overall atmosphere. At the first stages of work it looked pretty ordinary, but I really wanted to give it a mystical look.
Eventually I think these experiments with lighting were worth it, I'm really happy with the result! :>
