when I first got into 3D in 2018

I posted these images by Mariko Mori and tried to manifest this energy... & later got to work with Kiko x Coach with this as the moodboard!!! It was really a big manifestation moment haha but I’m realizing now that 2 years later I’m finding myself losing my sense of a personal 3D art style. Mainly because I’ve been taking on sooo many corporate jobs and bending to the will of creative directors.

I have 24 hours to make some earth, water, plant balls come together for my friend’s movie opening which is cute and then I’m working on a happy99 amusement park!!! The amusement park is for our next release so I’ve got 2-3 weeks to jam on it ;)

Update!!

Been doing a lot more work involving full 3D humans :) these were done for a full print feature coming out in late September!

I 3D modeled two IRL friends using picture references by editing existing DAZ3D models (took hours) and then textured them in Substance. Made the clothes in Marvelous and rendered and posed in C4D & Redshift!!

I did my first screen recording of the 3D modeling process for this shoe so I plan to record the voice over explanation for my first tutorial vid...

Wanna apologize for being super absent... I basically said yes to 5 projects and tried to plan them so I would have a deadline per week for August... but ofc. Hiii~ so technically we should repoll for the tutorial post bc 3D shoes and 3D clothes are currently tied!! But i think I should honestly just flip a coin & quickly decide and do the 2nd winner as next month’s video or something like that :)

3D Tutorial Poll!

Okay so according to my Instagram poll, we're doing a 3D process video. However, I make a lot of things in 3D and want to show ya'll everything but can only do one thing at a time... SO. Let's vote on it :) 

I want to start with a straight forward 3D modeling tutorial and then we can do a separate tutorial for rendering/lighting/compositing later!

I'll make something brand new for the tutorial so take your pick of what it is! I'm keeping the poll and video open to all patreon...

I copped this Japanese figure magazine called Replicant (I used to download whole PDFs but wanted this issue for the Etna poster) and found this super sick spread of these vintage figures. No idea where they’re from but hope to ID them one day.

I’m also working on this 1/3 ball jointed doll (got her glasses and some pants) and a replica of me and dom @ 1/6 scale

The dog shoe is printed and painted by me~ Will post more things I’ve been 3D printing!
