Pokemon is just a fact of life now, but there was a time when it was new and interesting and music from an anime about capturing fucked up little guys could sell millions of copies. Tootinis is a game that feels like a student project that ended up getting a little money behind it. Very little money, mind you. So we're fully in "Please Be Cool" mode because all these people did was make a weird kids' game with baffling characters and a very funny intro. Edith is returning to her long-abandoned home to learn about her family's curse... which has resulted in the tragic, unfortunate, and sometimes hilarious deaths of everyone related to her. It's time to talk about a kids' show that we were too old for, but somehow are too innocent to fully understand. Totally Spies! Totally Party is a very boring party game, like only the early 2000s could produce. But its subject matter is a show that was entirely colonized by people who were Too Horny, and it's now considered to be an entry point for every fetish under the sun.

Magician Lord is an okay arcade game about a transforming wizard. That's not what's important, however. What's important is that we know that 2023 will be the year of the Buff Wizard, Who May or May Not Be a Frog Man. It's imperative that we embrace and hype this early so we can make it happen.

Whatever one might have expected of the land at the foot of the Erdtree, it's unlikely they were imagining a war-torn, fallow, eternal autumn. This finale that wasn't meant to be a finale shows us what happens when Tuco's psychotic unpredictability meets Walt's completely predictable pride. Walt and Jesse have entered into a working relationship with Tuco that requires a change in which precursor they use to make their meth, so they set about one of the most incompetent heists imaginable. Also, the world stops to hold its breath as we learn that Marie is shoplifting.

We just missed Christmas with this episode, but that's okay, because Silent Night Deadly Night 5: The Toy Maker, has nothing to do with Christmas. Derek Quinn is a young boy traumatized by the recent death of his father, and his mother doesn't know how to help him. Simultaneously, a strange man is stalking them, and killer toys keep showing up... all seemingly related to a toy shop owner named Joe Petto and his son, Pino.
This movie is goofy as hell with tons of baffling choices in plot...

We've spoken on the charms and pitfalls of FMV video games before, and we're happy to report that Corpse Killer falls well on the charms side. It's a dead basic lightgun game, making Terminator 2 look like Time Crisis, but it also has ridiculously over the top acting and a bonkers story. So instead of laying into it for too long, we talk about how it's driving us crazy that someone out there is trying to make people care about Avatar.

Hong Kong is revealing some deeper truths to our group of Shadowrunners, as we search for the truth about what happened to Raymond Black and try to learn what's amiss with the Walled City. We pick up in the middle section of the game, as we're taking on jobs to keep the lights on and give Auntie Cheng time to work. Shadowrun: Hong Kong continues to be a delightful short story collection of fun, tactical missions that uses its setting to great effect.
You know Nick. You know Toons. But did you know they raced? Like M&Ms and pious zoo animals before them, all of your favorites like Spongebob and Daggett and Norbert hopped in little cars and went around and round. We touch on the GBC and PSX versions of the game before talking about the best clock ever made, and the portable cutoff time for when Nickelodeon stopped being good (i.e. for you).

Ranni the Witch's questline draws to a close as we reach the top of that damned Liurnian plateau, to find out where she went, and where she plans to go. And there's other cool stuff up here, too, like one of the hardest bosses in the game: Alecto.
