(G)I-DLE I SWAY Album & Miyeon 'MY' EP!

Thank god someone asked me about this cos I had literally forgotten lol.

It goes to show that the album itself didn't really make an impact on me. I'd say it feels more like a laidback summer vibe for sure.

Miyeon's mini was nice and definitely had some Taeyeon vibes. I like her individuality as an artist the most and I hope she can bring another EP soon because she could pull a Nayeon and KILL it.

I went into this with low expectations after his first EP but this took a DRASTIC turn, it's WAY more artistic sonically but in a way that tells a story and has his personality in there. And the production feels more made specially for him and the LIVE feel throughout is what made me really pay attention.

WELL

This was a pleasant FUCKING SURPRISE?!?!?!?!??!!

They may have immediately jumped UP to like my top 5 boy groups simply because they have an air of maturity and chemistry that's really refreshing and it shows amazingly in the title track mv. I also LOVE that video and the choreo.

I'm also amazed at HOW GOOD their music production is considering they're from a smaller company??? The vocals also give!

Although I usually LOATHE role play type of content this really made me see Jooyeon and Jungsu in the cutest and funniest lights!!

Like Jooyeon was on his FULL ON MAKNAE TIP and I LOVED it, sooooo adorable.

Gaon is SO Charming also. I'm also kinda obsessed with Gunil now? But tbh everyone has their moments tbh.

I'm excited to dig into more episodes hopefully with classic games etc.

NCT WISH - Songbird Recording

THESE boys!!!

The voices on them have soo much presence. Jaehee is a FORCE to be reckoned with for real, his belts are the type of vocal you RARELY hear these days in k-pop, he's like EXO standard vocally which I LOVE!!

Sakuya had GREAT tone when rapping, such a surprise considering how adorable he looks?? I finally hear Yushi's Haechan like tone!! Rio has it too at times lol.

Looking forward to watching more of these!

Anyway this was really cute!

They sang each other's songs beautifully! There's not much else to say really hahah. I probably would've enjoyed this more if I like D.O's music more and that's kinda why I wasn't eager to watch it.

STRAY KIDS ATE album review!

Well I definitely had epiphany whilst listening to this album.

Some of the production choices just don't match the amount of charisma and energy that they have and the fact their concerts made me enjoy ALL of their songs says a lot.

They'd benefit from a higher energy live sounding vibe like (G)I-DLE post tomboy etc but that's only for my enjoyment I'm sure many will still love this album but it doesn't feel like much of a step forward in terms of their artistic identity in the ...

PURPLE KISS SWAN Mujin Service

FINALLY!

Mujin was rightfully singing her praises, she's a phenomenal vocalist. Made me want to check out a Purple Kiss album if they have one that I'll enjoy!

Her tone and control are impeccable.

I'd love to get more versatily from her in terms of delivery/tempo to really see what else she can do but what she does comfortably she does very well!

LEE KNOW Mujin Service

I used to pray for days like this!!

Getting to hear Lk's vocals in detail was eye opening and made me understand his voice a little bit more. It's a shame he hasn't had a chance to really develop his vocals the same way he has his dancing cos very similar to J's mujin service, he also has the right ingredients working together at times but then losing it as he belts higher.

Luckily his belts STILL sound good! They just need more support and cord closure to not lose excess air wh...

There's a LOT of potential here.

Something I do find refreshing and really enjoy is her deep tones and mid to low range which has a sultry smooth texture that you don't usually hear in female idols.

I'd love for her to develop her belts and upper range more because there's definitely moments where she gets it right, so it's nearly there.

She's also really likeable!

GIMME THAT BEAT!!

The way I love this song now!

Loved seeing them learning the basics of house as a genre and them gradually learning the choreo. I think they've got some of the best behind the scenes content of any group out there right now.

Sungchan really surprised me with how good the house steps looked on him and of COURSE Shotaro ate!!

Has anyone else ever noticed Wonbin's shoulder thing before too?

TWICE Twicetagram Album Review

NOOOWWW we are talking.

Also I got the order wrong somehow and was meant to do BDZ but somehow did this but anyway I'm glad I did.

The PRODUCTION is headed in the right direction now. I enjoyed this a LOT and you can tell there's definitely more of a budget now in the bsides which I ADORE.

Jeongyeon's voice deserves more opportunities to shine man, Mina also stood out as expected!

NCT 127 Walk Album Review

Flawless.

I've already written and sang my praises on the YouTube community post so there's nothing else to say but WOW.

More albums like this please. Vocals full of life, layering and delivery. Alive production that's fresh and doesn't follow the same rhythm and groove all the way through out.

This is a true MASTERPIECE.

Triple S Badge Wars 2 ep 4

A slightly underwhelming conclusion but it still had it's moments of being entertaining.

I'm definitely impressed with the amount of budget they have for a rookie group with this many members!

I think I'll check out season at SOME point for sure.

Sangyeon, New & Jacob Mujin Service

YESSSS!!

The harmonies !! Sangyeon is such a man I literally can't handle it and once again he showcased even more than he showed before, what a TALENT and he belted more with vibrato here.

New was more of the same but still had some great moments. Jacob really impressed me, I'd LOVE subunit with him, Sangyeon and Sunwoo. The vocals etc would be great I think.

Good song choices too, they made me hear what a great song Reveal is in a way the production hides!

Miyeon Mujin Service pt 2

What a surprising voice, I reacted to her first service over a year ago but have nooo idea what my comments were but here I was really surprised by how much BODY her voice can have because usually singers with the tone she has have smaller voice.

Instead, she can really support it and give it weight when necessary.

I LOVE how in sync me and Mujin were in two major observations haha.

One thing about these girls? THE CAN SANGGGGGG!!

Another group that i'm glad i've stuck with even when their main genre isn't usually my bag cos they can DELIVER a song.

Fireflies just had me ASCENDING!!!!!! The fact EVERYONE brought such strong vocals is something i was not prepared for at ALL!

I would've loved the chorus of Justice to not go the quadruple time typical drum because the verses felt soo unique but alas it did.

BABYMONSTER Like that & Forever

Well this is definitely an IMPROVEMENT but there's still some ways to go.

The beauty with BM is that their vocals are TRULY fantastic and individualised. It's what gives their songs an extra sprinkle of magic in ways other groups could not.

What a sweeet episode!

Hearing them talk about 2018 was super englightening cos I never considered how artists feel when yes they're finally breaking through but at WHAT COST.

I remember even in 2019 when they did boy with luv promo's and that black n white perormance where Jimin in particular just looked sooo tired.

I'm really glad they came out the other side and am very much looking forward to their return. Also hearing V's songs in the background reminded me once again...

Enhypen Romance Untold Album Review

First Xdinary Heroes, now Enhypen.

Full albums that could've really done something fresh and excting but fell back on familiar formulas and overall safe execution.

This really surprised me cos title track IS fresh, granted the pre chorus and chorus are extremely weak lyrically and far too simple the production makes up for this and so does their performance and the video overall.

I think had they added Lucifer on here it would've been great. They absolutely should do more...

B.D.U Mini & Missing You Cover

This song actually HITS!! The stacking of the vocals and some of the high vocal moments were truly impressive IN the track let alone in the recording?!

RENJUN was the star for me but also Chenle tore it up! Haechan too. I mean overall this was so worth it and such an avenue they do so well!

Super glad this was requested to me! The choreo kinda examplified what I wanted for Unknown in terms of feeling so it seems they CAN do it!

EASILYYYY my favourite episode so far omg.

It's like I've completely forgotten everything about Streetman fighter haha. Women are just so much more dynamic and entertaining on a whole other level!

STAYC Metamorphic Album

Man, I dunno what happened to their producers.

The title track still has a STAYC sound in the beat but melodically and hook wise it's missing the magic they usually have. I realised whilst editing that it's like a combo of RUN2U & The Saturday's Up loool.

FIRST Aespa concert! Was to worth it?

In some ways ABSOLUTELY! The main thing I picked up from this concert is that the girls don't particularly have a passion for some of their group choreos and it shows in how they perform which I find rebellious in a way lol.

The contrast is clear from how much they BODIED their solo performances and Supernova/Armageddon/Set the Tone in comparison to Spicy/Mine/Next level etc. This concert had some of the most lip-syncing of all the concerts ...

This feels super random but it's cute haha.

Wonwoo's song is BEAUTIFUL, a possible tribute to his mother? I'm not sure but it's great.

The title track is okay but I think its purpose is just artistic expression which it does well.

I could literally watch her sing for hours and hours! There's sooo much freedom and agility in his voice, her potential is truly unlimited.

Irene I ALSO LOVED! I need her solo to come asap! She's my no.2 now after Wendy, though Seulgi belts more and has a more unique tone, she can be polarising at times with her nasality but she also has something special.
