The past two months have shown significant growth in the channel on two fronts.
The first, largely from our explanation of the YT monetization never being a strong help and our airing of the "How it's Made" video. These appear to have informed our dedicated viewers that the show cannot exist or grow without direct support. I am VERY appreciative that people found our project worth sustaining. Consider yourselves all micro grant writers!

Our friend Rob was resisting the Patreon bug because he refused to acknowledge the breadth and quality of his talent. I'm glad to see he has come around and know he will use any and all funding to preserve even more firearms history.
For those of you fancy $5 patrons, I won't cry if you shave off a dollar for our friend.

So we're getting ready for Atlanta, trying to let Dave open the range publicly, and struggling with a wandering handguard...
But at least we managed to get one segment filmed!

Also, thanks for the record donations! If 100% of YT monetization disappeared we'd still be ahead.

SPAR 5814 - This is one of a number of items the Springfield Armory Museum received in 1920 from Captain J.L. Aney. Captain Aney was stationed in Europe with the Ordnance Department and assigned to the "Captured Material Section" in WWI. Aney was ordered to secure items for the Springfield Armory Museum. This weapon is listed on the Receiving Report as Item No. 155 and is described as: "American Enfield magazine carbine model 1917. This gun is of extreme interest since it has been cut down in th...

You guys asked for more Mark, we spent today experimenting at his still-being-assembled shop.
Still interested? Should we keep working in this direction?

I realized that between the render time for the episode and the upload and processing time on YouTube/Full30 I actually have some time to write a few notes. So let’s see if I can develop a pattern here.
Episode 43 been uniquely difficult. The New Army revolver isn’t exactly rare or terribly expensive but finding one in good running condition can be a small chore. The research material, however, was pretty hard to come by. Robert Best’s book is just about the only thing...

A generous donor has sent over his well-aged CLLE for the show to use and we've offered to make some repairs in exchange. This video was put together to update him, but we realized it's pretty fun to listen to Mark talk about his work.
We BELIEVE we can get him geared up enough to document his efforts in the coming months and might be able to get a 2nd show running, focused on the maintenance and repair of these odd pieces.
Sincerely, would you all enjoy that?

In just a moment I'm posting a video update thanking the Poster buyers. In it I claim that the Chrimmas photo will be poster only. I obviously lied because you, our Patrons, now have a digital copy.
I know it's before Thanksgiving but I had to ship orders.
