It had been at least 4 maybe 5 years since I had been to the Salton Sea, and it has changed a lot! The last time I was there, there were dead fish skeletons and half rotton fish in piles lining the entire lakeshore... over the years the lake has receded quite a bit and most of the skeletons are reduced to fragments. It still smells bad, but not nearly as bad as the last time I went there (I think it was 2015?)

These selfies have been waiting in the archive to see the light of day! I kinda forgot they were waiting to be released! They were shot back when I had my apartment in the Seattle area- it actually feels kinda weird looking at them because that era of my life has completely changed now...

VW Graveyard Photos by Travis
I am still battling between "seeking out" cool locations while traveling on road trips, or just coming across them by chance. this particular location off highway 287 in Texas was one I googled! It was along our route on the way to Dallas. I am so glad we checked it out!
In this photo set, I kept in a few of the BTS shots where I am getting warm in my jacket, some shots where you can see my van in the background, and a shot where I am cuddled up in my van on the floor with my hand...
