Hi everyone! ^^

Sorry for being a little inactive here over the past week - Leffie and I are currently preparing many prints for a 4 day long upcoming con. That plus shop and German tax stuff is taking up a lot of our time right now, so I (Raide) wasn't able to finish new artworks last week. Not to mention the commissions that I'm working on.

I actually also have that portrait rendering tutorial prepared - I just need to find the time to record and edit it. Leffie is almost finish...

I'm really happy with how this turned out! ^^ Decided to go out of my comfort zone and paint two characters in a city setting! Hope you like it :)

Do you recognize these characters?^^ I had so much fun painting them in some dramatic lighting again :)

✧Raide✧ Early Access - Pink Isabela

I edited the last study I did and turned the model into Isabela! Had loads of fun trying out different blend modes to change the colors of the dress / skin! Hope you like it :)

✧Raide✧ Early Access - Like a Boss

This is a contest entry that I did for the Polymanga con in Switzerland ^^ Each artist that is accepted at the con has to enter an art contest with the theme "Like a Boss". I actually had a lot of fun coming up with the concept ^^

I might edit some proportions here and there, but overall, it's done! I definitley went out of my comfort zone, but I like the result :)

✧Raide✧ Tutorial - Brushes

Finally, I managed to finish this tutorial! It took me a while to edit and record everything, but I learned a LOT during the process.

Like I mention in the video, even if you don't use ArtRage, I personally find it helpful to look at the workflow and brushes of other artists - I learned a lot from watching WLOPs tutorials, even though I don't use Photoshop like he does.

I really enjoyed yesterday's drawing session, and decided to finish this piece once I woke up in the morning :D

I recently went through my old art folders and found a study that I did back in 2018 of the famous "The Swing" painting by Jean-Honoré Fragonard. I immediatley pictured Isabela Madrigal from Encanto on the swing, so I decided to edit that old piece ^^

Recently, I've noticed that a lot of artists that I follow online have experienced massive drops in reach. Social media puts so much pressure on artists to constantly mass produce high-quality work. Artists who can't keep up can feel sad or angry at the algorithm. And I would be lying if I said that social media didn't affect me and my work to some degree.

I might add a second slide to this where she drops the phone, to symbloze that we shouldn't let the numbers dictate our emotions and...
