Gettin' there!

YES - I am using Curly from the Three Stooges as reference, it feels appropriate. Funny thing! The entire thing still felt off until I thickened up the neck.

He still has a little ways to go before he's done - I don't think I'll be totally satisfied until it's a steady animation all the way through! 

For now, I'm going to step away from this one and give it some distance. In the meantime, I'm going to get Lyra started.

I wanted the artwork to look like it was a carved wood plate print, since that's realistically how these kinds of advertisements would be produced en-masse with the technology available.

Fun Fact: the printing press was "discovered" relatively recently within the DotL universe, and books printed en-masse have finally, finally become commonplace.

I completely forgot to document the old "office" before we started taking it apart to move, but please let me emphasize the fact that the first photo makes things look downright roomy, since we had already gotten a lot of the clutter out of there and partially packed up some things.

This version is going much, much better - this time I started with a version of Brent from the comic at a 3/4 view, instead of a rough doodle of his profile that I thought looked nice.

The Front View is, typically, the most difficult to figure out, and gosh if that didn't prove itself true here - there's still a lot left to do there, in addition to the thousands of other things that are still inconsistent and need to be nudged hither and thither.
