... well, I mean, I still need to tweak and finalize the colors on the cover, and do ONE more super small and simple thing that's a stretch goal, but all the basic materials required for the Kickstarter are complete.

I am finishing this today! I spent several hours this morning putting some final tweaks to it, and now all that's left is the shading and inking/drawing the floral decoration on the back cover.
Holy crap, finally. I am so relieved and thrilled.
I have a full work day ahead of me (I also have to do the markers for tomorrow's page) so I'm going to get to it. Happy Monday you guys!

Hey, sorry for the silence.
This past week has been kinda weird - you know how when you see a scene about a shipwreck, and the protagonist drags themselves up from the shore and collapses into the sand for a minute, just lying there catching their breath? It's not really relevant or conductive to their survival, but they just need a minute to just... exist for a second, and feel the stability of the earth underneath them again.

Honestly, I was starting to doubt my decisions once I put down some flats on this thing, but now that I've thrown some quick shading on as well, I'm feeling a little more assured in my decisions.
There are still some things that will change and be further tweaked, mainly the flat colors in the areas behind Thistle and Frog Friend, but everything is starting to come together and soon it'll just be back to tweaking and fine tuning things, and we'll be able to call it a wrap shortly ...

Well... dang, okay, here we go. The design/concepting part of the process (the longest part of the process) is pretty much done. I've been taking my time with this because whatever template or design that's settled upon here will be used in all future book covers for the sake of consistency, so it's vital that it be super tightened down, and have a satisfying look and feel.
But, barring some final tweaks here and there, it feels like we're 90% of the way there. FINALLY.
