Decided I really liked that half finished look cuz I love seeing chunky brushstrokes and the artist's process. So I just kinda reworked the skin tones and tried to just bring out the strongest points of the photo. Kinda has a faux block print thing going on as well. I dunno. It sorta abstract and artful, but it's still just a painting of someone's dick pic.

Wow, I am so happy with this piece. I put a lot of effort into the tight rendering and tackled it like a traditional painting. I feel like I'm developing a style and can't wait to do more and get my technique down so I can't start whipping out this kind of stuff faster.

stayed up super late last night working more on this piece. i'm really enjoying it. i had to force myself to stop....prolly coulda pulled an all nighter.

one reason i am so happy with how this is turning out, is cuz I didn't rely on a reference photo. i feel like refs have been turning into a crutch for me and really limiting my creativity. i want to be able to paint out of my head and let my own style shine through. i think i'm doing that with this....and i guess my style is SOFT

did some late night sketching and put together a lil pinup scene. was gonna keep the sketch around for later, but after i layed down some preliminary color with the marker tool, i kinda just kept going.... so now it's a very sketchy, experimental, painting?

who says i should go back to it and turn it into a more cleanly rendered illustration?
