So after doing my lip series only just a few days ago, I thought I'd turn the tutorial set into a series. I'll be working on different parts of the face. Today's featured tutorial is:

I've had a lot of people ask me about how I paint lips - I tried to break it down into steps so that those interested might better understand!
Would you like to see written descriptions along with these? I think I'm going to try my hand at a few explanations!

I have been addicted to Conan Exiles lately. The RP community is so awesome over there!
So, with my inspiration for the game at an all time high, I painted another friend's OC! She's an Aesir archer!
My tribe, who are a bunch of hostile Darfari cannibals, captured her as a servant! In order to keep her life, and not become their next meal on the full moon, she's working to prove her worth to them!

This was a quick speedpaint today! Probably around 45 minutes.
I've been working on using reference as little as possible. I still need a lot of practice, but to be able to put together something that vaguely looks like a face with minimal reference in 45 minutes is a huge leap for me.
Despite this not nearly being anywhere close to my best, it's good progress, and I'm proud of it.

This month was slow in terms of art due to moving, but be prepared for some badass things in April! From a fantasy archer, a fire mage, to an exiled princess and an amazonian warrioress - they're all to be expected next month!
