Navya (Term 40)
The merry tinkle of baubles announces her arrival before all else.
A rather new character, born from some concepts based on the Conan the Barbarian/Conan Exiles universe. It's likely that I'll be working her into a full illustration in time, as well as revisiting some other characters I've created in the same universe.

Study 4 (Term 39)
Playing around with skintones (again, I know, but never enough practice), stylization and edges on this piece. Also challenging myself with a timed work setting. I'd like to improve the speed of my workflow and so spotting relevant details quickly, while being able to place them with minimal brush strokes, it something I'm trying to practice! Photo Study 3 (Term 39)
Playing around a bit with lighting in this piece! I've recently been pushing my ability to capture interesting lighting with cool vs warm tones in the different values. This image had a lovely effect with cool tones in the shadow, and warmer tones in the highlights!
I've always played with contrast with values alone but I think bringing opposing colors and tones into the mix adds that extra pop!

Happy Friday!
I love Fridays - they have no real bearing on my work week but I'm always refreshed and looking forward to spending our streams together on Saturday morning. Friday brings us one day closer to that.
