Little Guardians is now a part of Cool Mint Comics! Cool Mint Comics is a small press publisher Lee and Ed started for Little Guardians. It will help further our ability to expand our reach and find new audiences. We’re looking into bigger distribution channels, and we needed to form this company to do that.

Flashback to Chapter 1 page 17 with us. I love the Sepia tone flashback style James has come up with. To me this has a very noticeable effect on the way the story reads over the black and white version. There are indeed ways to imply flashbacks in black and white but I really love how it feels this time around with James on board.

We're excited to share the next colored page of Chapter 1 with you because it features the real debut of Subira's "Big Kitty" spirit panther, excellently colored by our James Ratcliffe. We hope you are enjoying these Chapter 1 revisits. It certainly is fun for me to review these pages that I drew almost 5 years ago. There are things I would do differently now but also cool things that I'm reminded of and will keep in mind as I continue working on Chapter 7.

You may remember Thabo referring to the group as Slugg's Bandits in Chapter 6. And Chapter 7 is titled Dinner with Slugg. So who is Slugg anyway? I've put together my concept sketches for Slugg and you're the first to see them!
You can see some are young Slugg and some are old Slugg. You'll be seeing very soon in Chapter 7 that now Slugg is an old withered version of his former self and you'll only hear it suggested how mean and powerful he used to be.
