Hello Patrons!

Here's that map in action! Much like Soma and Subira, I hit the trail on a road trip of my own this weekend. Drove a total of 18 hours to see some friends, acquire a sweet drum kit, and everything went super awesome. I even got to draw some Little Guardians art for a young fan, (friend's daughter) who gifted me a sweet Flame Princess drawing in return.

Good Morning Patrons!

We're back! THEY'RE BACK! We finally get to find out what Subira and Soma have been up to! I had to remind myself that this was an actual horse, not Tane's usual spirit horse. I'd left off the tail and mane since they're usually added in near the end when I'm dropping in all the spirit fire.

It just feels so good to be back with these two. I really missed them!

Book 3 Cover Process - Part 3

Success! We have a cover for Book 3! There will be a few minor tweaks and corrections I'll have to make during the rest of the layout and proofing process but we finally have a new book cover!

Expect a few more updates as we layout the back cover and interior of the book. We'll take you along with us through the whole process and by the end of the year you'll be the first to know the book is on it's way to the printer. :)

Book 3 Cover Process - Part 2

Hello Patrons! Check it out! The inks are done. :) Now I drop in the fills and shading. If this were an interior page I'd also be worrying about little background details, fortunately we've established the backgrounds on these covers are much more swirly, glowy, spirit energy and atmospheric as opposed to representative of a specific setting.

Book 3 Cover Process - Part 1

Hello Patrons!

Today's post is the first part of the process for creating the cover art for the new book! I'll be sharing updates here as I complete each step.

This sketch is a little tighter that my usual scribbles, much closer to what my pencils look like. Parts of this I will be able to start inking right away and other parts I'll have to draw a more refined guide before I jump to inks.
