It's the time of year when I'm always in a hurry! My Mom is coming over soon to sit around with us as we decorate our tree. We've left it very late this year!

Today, I cleaned out the freezer, and now I have three pots on my stove- two different kinds of stock and one of various fruits that need to be cooked up into something.
I had to rework my "to-do" list into a binder with sections. I hope it helps.

Ok, I love this guy's little lodge hat. It must be staying on with magic.
I keep hoping that someday I'll get a pair of reindeer antlers for Christmas because they make this guy's antlers look positively tame. Reindeer shed their antlers every year so some of the farms sell them, but I think they're kind of expensive. Anyway, real reindeer antlers are wild and eldrich looking and I love them.

We have returned from the Magic the Gathering con in Pittsburgh, and it was amazing! Everyone was so nice, and I got to see some of the folks I used to see all the time back when I was painting for Wizards of the Coast. Not only that, but the convention center was right on the river, so I even got to see a little reminder of why I think Pittsburgh is such a beautiful place. And here I didn't think I'd get to see anything outside the hall.

Yesterday my Mom took me to the local Latvian community center to see some traditional dancing and eat some snacks. Our ancestry isn't Latvian but one of her friends is a member of the group so off we went. It was a wonderful little break from the ongoing studio work, and I got to eat some pepper cookies.

I'm trying to type over a cat, so it's going slowly. He doesn't want to get off my lap, but isn't very pleased about the fact that I'm using him as an arm rest. I'm wearing a thick cardigan that both cats like, it's very cozy.

Well, I just spent many hours (not sure how many) on Twitch, streaming my very boring signing of a bunch of Magic the Gathering cards. I got it done, though, and it was fun to hang out with folks and chat while I signed! Then I streamed the lettering of tonight's page, which was kind of a mistake I guess, because writing while streaming is HARD! I forgot to show off our pumpkins on Halloween, but we did get them carved, even if they're quite simple. I'm not picky about Jack o' Lanterns, I don't need them to be fancy, I just like them to exist. I love the color of the candle light in them.

Oh golly, something in my computer is making a weird noise, and I'm going to have to go poke at it and figure out what's going on. Not what I want to do.
