Ah this illustration finally comes out as wallpaper rewards. I was waiting for Eid for using this moment. Last year I was on hiatus so I saved this one for this year.

Believe it or not, this one is the first Raruurien illustration I made. Since 2015, this illustration has been the style guide for me for making the comic and other Raruurien illustrations.

Knowing that I'll have to draw a lot of horseback scenes are like yay at first. But now I'm starting to need some additional energy.

Remaking Varunair

I'm planning to remake this comic. No storyboard or script yet but I started working on character design and world building. Despite of being a completely different theme (dark fantasy) Varunair share the same universe with Raruurien, so I think by building the Varunair's world, I'm filling Raruurien's plot holes too.

I'm announcing this because I'm going to post the character designs and world building developments here. And I'm sure it'll contain spoilers for Raruurie...

Color Tutorial - Scrapped

Remember that harmonious color scheme tutorial that I was creating since last year? I finished half of the pages (8/16) but I decided to scrap this. I realized that there are too many theories in these pages. Even with 16 pages, I don't think I can deliver it well.

But worry not, this decision doesn't stopped me. I learned something and I'm planning to redo this.

Funds and Expenses (Jan-Mar 2019)

Fund and expenses report is back! March's fund just came in but I added it anyway.

There was Big Bad Wolf Books Sale on Jakarta on March so... more books! Mostly reference books.

I fell in love with Tony Cliff's Delillah Dirk comic series so I bought two more via bookdepository.com. The books are still on the way. Can't wait to read them.

Concept - unused home page design

This home page design was scrapped because the home page is now directing to the latest page of comic.

This layout was planned to be used for other additional pages too, such as about, archive, cast and gallery. But in the end we decided to use simpler layout based on the comic viewer layout.

I also have this image of Ruu peeking in the same background. I think this one was designed for picarto chat banner. I can't find the high res psd file of this one.

Rien Throughout Chapters (with and without headdress)

I've drawn her without headdress more than I thought.

As you can see, these are Riens from Good Morning chapter until current page. Doing these makes me realize that there are so many anatomy errors in chapter 1-2 I feel so ashamed I want to bury them to the ground xD but it means I'm improved, isn't it?

I sketched Rien in modern outfit before. Will share it again after I compile everything.

In this universe, Ra would be an elementary school student who is independent and can commute on his own. Meanwhile Ruu is an energetic curious kid who got hurt often because he just can't stand still for a second.

WIP - "A Day In The Saddle" cover

A new Raruurien mini picture book due in March 2019. A sister to "Good Morning" book because it will have the same format. This book will cover the first part of chapter IV in details, focusing on the journey of Ra, Ruu and Rien, mostly filled with background porns, minus dramas xD.

I'm planning to publish the book at Pasar Komik Bandung but let's see.

Rien in modern outfit? WIP

So someone asked me how would Rien's outfit looks like in modern era. I'm sketching these just for fun. And it IS fun!

In modern era, I pictured Rien as someone who dress like a beautiful lady with hat and long skirt as fashion keys. Her profession is a pharmacist or a doctor. At home, she dress lightly using a pair of legging and long t-shirt or knitted sweater.

People would probably imagine her using a hijab but no, I'm not planning to do that. Readers (especially from Southeast...
