It's been a rough 2016, both Lunar and actual calendar wise.
I wanted to say a massive thank you to all the Laowinners and Patreons out there that make this channel possible. I really can't stress enough how much your support means to us.
I went to Hong Kong with Vivi to check out the poorest area that is suffering from an influx of homeless and diseased people. Wing takes us around to show us what she has been reporting on recently for the news.
Enjoy the early access!

Winston and I ride through sunny Huizhou as we discuss how Uber tried to enter China, but ended up failing miserably. We elaborate on how foreign companies in China often suffer the same fate, and why. We also talk about the explosion of Mobike, a Chinese start up that offers parking hubless bike sharing.
I hope all of you are doing well. I have been busy in the USA, but things are coming to a close with the America series. Enjoy this video of Vivi crashing a snow tube at a ski slope. Don't worry, she is ok, but it was funny that she was the only person to fall off all day.
Everyone talks about the differences between China and the west, but we thought it would be interesting to talk about the similarities between China and the USA.
My apologies! Our flight got in super late, and we had to deal with a screaming baby for 2 days in transit. Now we are super jet lagged!
I am afraid I won't make this subscriber meet up, but I will be in New York for 3 weeks, so I will reschedule 1 meet up for upstate New York, and 1 meet up for New York City after the holidays.
Lot's of hate coming at our videos from all directions (at least from the locals). Where is it coming from? Well, in China, there is a typical guilty until proven innocent attititude that people tend to have. If there is any criticism from a foreigner about their country or culture, they will judge that comment and person before really delving into what that person's meaning was.
Today Winston and I talk about some of the ways you might be misunderstood in China.
A lot of people ask me if I miss my old crazy life since I had a kid. Of course I do! But it is not that simple. In this video, I talk about what really happens when you become a dad for the first time. The good, the bad, the awesome.
This week on Laowhy86 - Sexuality in China - Punishment
Since China is now buying sex toys en masse under the anonymity of online shopping on Taobao, she picked up 8 strange Chinese sex toys and had us do a challenge where we guess them.
There are a lot of things that impressed me with the country when I first got here. The language was cryptic and mysterious. The buildings tall. The country huge. And the culture, completely different from my own.
All of these things were super exciting, and I loved every minute of it.
But today I am going talk about the things I used to love, but can't stand now.
Most people acknowledge the gap between age groups. Each generation has it's differences. However, under Mao's China, people born in the 1950s, and 1960s had a particularly different upbringing.
Schools were closed, and madness and violence spread amongst the youth, or Red Guard, who were encouraged to denounce and even beat intellectuals and teachers.
From there, they learned a very different attitude compared to the normally confucian culture that China typically had.
One thing you will notice in China is that most things, old and new, are poorly maintained. It's a bit sad to see beautiful ancient villages in such disrepair, as they often hold a lot of history.
However, in some areas like Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, some things like streets and public parks can be immaculate! There are some very clear reasons for this. Tune in and find out!

Hey Laowinners! I will do a afternoon (for me) Google hangout at 12:30 PM this Sunday November 13th for the people who couldn't make the last one. This should be doable for west coast Americans that couldn't make the last one.
Please let me know in the comments if you can make it, and check back here for the link a few hours before it starts.
First off, thanks so much to the people that showed up the Patreon only Hangout last night. Was a ton of fun, and I hope to do it again this week. Post below what time would be best for you to join.
This week on ADVChina, Winston and I discuss why the perception of nationality is different in China than in most other countries.

This week on your Patreon Exclusive ADVChina episode, we talk about how difficult it is to get money out of China, and some of our experiences in dealing with banks.
The financial situation of China is not like back home, and you need to know what to do to change money, open a bank, and get money out of the country if you decide to come here.
Hope you guys enjoy!
Stay tuned this week for a Daily Milk and the punishment video.
Thought I'd give you a little update on life over here in the middle kingdom.
Olivia is 7 months now. She can sit, crawl, laugh, play, scream... you get the picture. She is super fun, and super cute, and I am so happy to see her everyday when I come home from work. Lovely little thing.
Been having a lot of fun making videos as always. ADVChina has been putting out some good content, and I hope you guys are enjoying it. I need to put a bit more effort into laowhy86, b...
China is severely lacking in cultural exports. Music is definitely one of them.
With K-Pop and American pop music taking over in China, it leaves a hole in the underground music scene.
There is a developing scene in niche music, but with China's lack of individualism, it means that underground music is still very much in it's infancy.
