Really didn't like Satsuki's face in the last post (deleted) among other things, so I made some revisions, feeling better about this version.
Second pic is the old version. I think the new one looks a lot more like Satsuki. I think this is the first time I've drawn her, so it makes sense that I'd have some troubles.

First pic is the current state of the Marie piece. Pics are ordered from newest to oldest, with the last one being the first shading WIP. I took a break from this yesterday and today.
I've made some big changes to her anatomy, she looks much softer and more natural now. Previous WIP was basically me just fucking winging it, was not accurate at all. Changed her face and head as well.
Still can't decide what I wanna do with her mouth. A grin showing off her fangs ...
The difficult shading is more or less done and planned out. Smart move would be to sleep on it and then see if anything needs to be tweaked.
After that I'll do the lineart and finalize everything.
Oh and this still might need a background of some sort. Honestly just might make it like an alleyway scene. The idea was some tourist to Anima City got lucky and paid for the full soft Mink experience.

Making myself do the shading and lighting composition BEFORE I do lineart, since I like doing the lineart and I'm usually too tired afterwards to put any effort into the shading.
I can also use the shading to inform how I draw the lineart to create a more cohesive piece instead of a the lighting being more of an afterthought.
Might even do a simple background, wow!

Sketched a bunch today, but really couldn't get the art juices flowing right.
The two mass dumps of sketches were from LineofAction, they were timed at 30seconds then 1 min, 5 min, 10, and 30 until you've hit an hour of sketching. Honestly I don't think they help me much. Sketching from a reference becomes super easy through the process, but then you sit down and try to draw a pose from scratch and it's no easier lol. At least they help me warm up.

I set it up initially to allow people who couldn't afford more than that to show support if they wanted to. But now that I'm gonna be using Patreon more seriously it's kind of arbitrary, and even a slight liability.
I get about 75¢ per 1 dollar patron. That takes AWHILE to add up.
About 45% of the people here are in the 1 dollar tier but they only account for about 12% of the funds I get each month. And that'd be fine, but they're getting essentially the same benefits ...

Lineart and flat color done. Shading wise I'll try to keep it simple. I think my strength definitely lies in posing and linework. Fiddling with the shading too much may end up ruining the pic.
I'm toying with the idea of it being dark and having them both lit by the light of the phone, which has a baffled and flustered Nazuna watching in a Zoom call. lol
I'mma take a lil vidya game break before I take a crack at the shading. May even leave it for tomorrow when I'm fresh.
Y'know. Despite sketching being my least favorite part of the process, it's all I seem to really do anymore. Just not a lot of energy for finishing stuff as of late.

I still haven't watched The Great Pretender, but Abby is too fucking cute for me to not draw.
I did not intend for the first pic to be a kinda peeing fetish piece, it just sort of evolved into it as I drew the pose? I'm not 100% on it yet myself, so let me know if it's too out of whack with my usual stuff.
I'll probably do one or two more of her as warmups. I may even finish a few. For once, lol.
